I am so grateful to be back on raw. I had to finally get to my absolute lowest point (which I did) and after doing the raw talk (talk...no actions) I finally poured my heart out and cried and... BIG SIGH... I am back. Day two of 100% raw and I am so happy!

I am taking college courses for nursing right now (ultimate goal is nurse midwife) and returned some books today. I ended up with a teeny bit of money and headed straight to the farmers market!!! Woo hoo... ended up with some great deals. Just cut into a fresh tomato and did a little jig in my kitchen when I ate it. My son thought I was a bit wacky, but who cares. Veggies are SO yum.

I got:

Whole box of yellow mangos (some ripe, some not)
5 very large tomatoes
4 bunches scallions
head nappa cabbage
10 baby cucumbers
3 large cucumbers
7 lemons
2 bunches cilantro
2 bunches parsley
1 large pineapple

Can't think of what else right now, but just spent $20. I thought that was pretty good, especially with the big box of mangos!

Anyway.... so glad to be back on raw....

Rawadventures,

Good for you...You go ahead and celebrate - it's the little things that matter.

Wish I could have gotten all of that, plus a box of mangos, for $20.

Have a great one!

Julie,

I went to my local farmer's market and browsed every little cubbyhole! :) I think I even made a few people huffy asking prices and not buying, but I got the best deals! :)

Hey you!

Welcome back! :D

Rawk,

Thanks... I had been "trying" to get back on track and doing a lot of talking. Quite frankly I was tired of hearing myself talk about how miserable I was. :( Stress, finances, sickness... I had plently of things to blame. It wasn't until the other night when Vegggeeemom (Pam) and I had a chat that I broke down and bawled in front of my computer. She told me of her great revelation that the issue (her issue) was with HER and that SHE was the one who had changed and I felt like I was IN her shoes.. she was telling me how she felt and it was describing me! It's pretty scary how much alike we are after being friends for 30 years, but still... Anyway, she told me all the things that I did not want to hear (but needed to hear) and yet sweetly encouraged me at the same time to step back up to the plate. ;)

I am SO glad to be back! I really did miss everyone here. I fell and fell hard, but I have dusted off my knees and am back! :D

Thanks again for the "welcome". I am definetely one of those fledglings that needs periodic hand holding, friendship, and encouragement at times!
