View Full Version : Pesto Stuffed Mushrooms

I just got a 4lb bag of button mushrooms for $2.00! I am planning on making the pesto stuffed mushrooms today. Am I supposed to add the stems to the stuffing? I can't see where it says what to do with them.
Also, does anyone have any other wonderful things to do with mushrooms? I think I've only got until maybe Sunday before they start to turn.

I added my stems in. I don't know if you are "suppossed" to or not. I did it because when I used to make SAD stuffed mushrooms I did it then, so I just figured I'd do it again.
I love mushrooms! I put them in my salads. One of the yummiest ways for me to enjoy mushrooms is by marinating them. You can marinate them whole or sliced up. My marinating sauce is vinegar, a little oil and some nama shoyu. You can also add in some garlic cloves. Just taste the sauce until it is how you like it and throw the mushrooms in. You can also dehydrate the mushrooms after you marinate them. That is good as well.

I had some cremini that I needed to use so I chopped them into medium pieces and put guacamole over them and then some of the nacho cheese sauce. I added jalapenos to the recipes because we like the heat.
Here is a picture of a portobello stuffed with the ingredients. It works just as well, if not better, on chopped shrooms.
