Ok, these people doesn't know aobut raw foods. They are my husband's relatives! First I want to impress them also I want to show them how yummy and creative raw foods are, and of course I want to pull out an educational afternoon. They are mostly seniors and in need of new eating habits! His grandma (who is ill) NEEDS to change the way she eats!

I want to prepare simple meals but yet fascinating and creative!

I was thinking of stuffed tomatoes, also some yummy pizza (I will be bringing my dehydrator)

what else?!?! I really want to do something very simple since I will be bringing all these ingredients to their house and will prepare everything right there. I was also thinking of a yummy green smoothie, but I seriously need yummy recipes that a SAD eater might LOVE! any ideas?!?! if you have a picture of your recipe will be greaaatttttttt!

TIA!

yo gatorgrrl check your email.

And interpret what you just typed?

robertandenith,
Do you have Alissa's book? In it is a list of easy recipes and all kinds of great tasting and filling foods. Plus check the threads here, they are packed with examples and pictures

With Pizza and stuffed tomatoes on the meal plan, why not go with a simply fabulous green salad? Many folks consider a salad to be iceberg lettuce, radishes, carrots under a heavy ranch dressing... you could show them how interesting and devine a salad can be with a spring mix for a base, throw in some happy shredded red cabbage, red bell peppers, tomato, green onion, ... whatever you like, toss raisins and or walnuts on top with a homemade raw dressing and you have it! voila!

How about date nut torte topped with berries for dessert? You don't need Alissa's book -- you can find the recipe for free on her website under "Recipes." There are other delicious and free dessert recipes out there on the web, but none so simple as this one. I often make it for non-raw folks when they come to my house for dinner because it takes 5 minutes to make but tastes much more complicated.

I do modify the recipe a bit to suit my tastes. I like to leave the raisin/walnut mixture a little chunky because I like the texture and I don't want to risk over-processing it and making it oily. And I usually make extra date/lemon frosting and top the whole thing with lots of fresh berries.

Good luck with your dinner party -- your menu so far sounds wonderful!
