My 20 year old son just moved from Hamilton to Brampton this week. He has been serving a two year mission for the LDS church and will be home at the end of July.
He knows all about raw, but I'm sure has been eating junk for the past two years. Welcome Ontario rawies!

Hi Liana,

There's a raw food group that meets up in Toronto at least once a month and in the surrounding area. You can find out about the meetups on the TVA website...

Hope to see you at some events!!!

Welcome

I'm not from Toronto and I act like I'm 12, will that work?

I'm visiting Toronto soon and would like to know about raw places to go, health food stores, vegan non-raw restaurants, and just fun activities in the area (esp for small kids). Thanks!

I live in Toronto...you must go to my favorite restaurant called "LIVE" on Dupont &Spadina which is all organic raw food. Around the city is "Juice For Life" vege restaurant not organic. There is a store called Carrot Common which reminds me of Wild Oats in the States. We also have a Whole Foods. Hope that helps.

yeah, Live is awesome, Juice for Life is also very cool. Live also sells takeout and lots of other raw supplies, in addition to being a really nice place to eat.

Raene, for the kids, the science center is great, there's Toronto Island (centreville), Ontario place, the CN tower, Harbourfront, lots of places. There is also a young people's theater, and lots of kid-oriented festivals, so check what's on, I know of the Milk music festival for kids, a kids film festival I think is called Sprockets.

the Whole Foods is in Yorkville which is a neat area to see, it used to be where all the hippies hung out and performed in the sixties (neil young, joni mitchell, buffy saint marie, etc.) now it's extremely posh.
