Ok, I am all about cheap AND easy. So, I've been trying a few recipes from this book The Hallelujah Diet by Geroge Malkmus with Peter & Stowe Shockey and they have been so cheap to make. Mainly because I have alot of the ingriedents already.

I had some carrrots that I wanted to eat up, but wanted something to dip them in. This hit the spot! I am in love with it and my daughter who is by no means raw, LOVED IT.

So, it's a winner and something I will make often. Oh, I am in love with raw today! :D

Recipe courtesy of Everyday Wholesome Eating...in the raw by Kim Wilson

1/2 C sunflower seeds, presoaked for 6 hours
1/4 C tahini
juice of one lemon
1/8-1/4 C sweet/red onion
pinch cayanne (optional)
2 small garlic cloves
1/4 cup water
1/4 tsp sea salt

Puree all ingredients in a food processor or blender (add additional water, if needed)

Variation:
Add 1/4 C chopped parsley and/or 2 tsp olive oil

Okay vegggeeemom... I have gone from SAD to crazy! LOL

I am back on and on day two of 100%. Woah, feels good to say that! What an inspiration you are to me!

Okay, enough mushy stuff. This dip is SO good... couple suggestions. Add cayenne and then let is sit in the fridge overnight! I have had the munchies SO bad the past two days (of course, because I am determined to do this again, but at least I am not craving bad things right now!!!). Anyway... for an early lunch I have had 6 falafel balls dipped in your Sunflower dip made spicy!!! This has totally hit the spot for me. This dip is definetely one that is better the next day. Ummmm - I just licked the bowl! :)

That dip sounds great! I can't wait to give it a try! I get Halleluiah Acres magazine sent every month or so to my house....sometimes they have some great recipes!
