Who has healed their asthma? I've been suffering for so long... I can hardly breathe right now and my lungs are sore from the strain. Just wanted to know has anyone actually eliminated this problem completely. Would be really encouraging to know.
Thanks!

YEP, me and my son,
the first day I went raw was the first day I didn't have to take some kind of allergy medicine, same with my son.
It was that quick, when ever I ate even a little cooked, then I would have to take it again.
My son too.
quitting dairy helps trememdously for me and him, but when we went raw, it was like night and day.
he is 38 and I am 53, we've been suffering a long time with it, and now we never have to ever worry again.
RAW RAWKS!!!

Really! Both my children have asthma...so does my husband. We've eliminated dairy for a few months now. The kids eat more raw than they used too...but are still SAD. I am gradually bringing them to raw. I tried to cold turkey them...but they weren't going for it. I'm hoping when I get a dehydrator...and new blender, I can introduce more items that seem like cooked...but are raw. They will eventually be raw by the end of summer. That is my goal. (Even more now after hearing it can relieve their asthma. ;) ) Thank you.

I have. First thing to do ~ eliminate wheat and dairy. Secondly, if you eat dried fruits make sure there are no sulfites added. Thirdly, oftentimes asthma is as much emotional as it is physical. I didn't believe it when I was told " you can breathe anytime you want to". Well, I can and do ~ now. Hopefully, diet alone will work for y'all. If not, check out the emotional aspects as well.

I can't respond regarding raw food, but my sister healed her asthma through yoga and pranayama (breathing practices).
Good luck.

Revvell, in what way emotionally? Please share a bit more...this is very interesting to me. What emotionally could bring on asthma?

yes, i met a woman once who told me she had to take a taxi to walk one block - that is how bad her asthma was. she healed herself with raw. also roe gallo, author of The Perfect Body, and Queen Afua (Heal Thyself).
They probably both have websites. Both of those books are very good.
best of luck

Thank you for your replies. I am now more motivated than ever. I'd also like to know about the emotional connection to asthma. That sounds very interesting.

I have heard that magnesium can help this because it relaxes the constricted muscles of the airways or something like that. It is good for you anyway, you might want to try it.

in chinese medicine, each organ has a corresponding emotion connected to it.
the lungs are associated with sadness and grief. this does not mean b/c you have asthma, you are sad. but, often times unresolved issues harbor in the body. this can mean too much sadness and grief or not of enough either one is being expressed. here is an example, i met a woman who had lung cancer and was never a smoker and the lung cancer came on right after the death of her 20 year old son. it began with a pain in her arm which travelled the course of her lung meridian. she was trying to heal with diet and i do not know if she was dealing with the emotional aspect of it, which was huge.
just thought everyone would find this interesting
but i do think diet plays a HUGE role in asthma, esp. in kids
hope everyone is well and expressing their emotions in a healthy way!! (goodness knows, i'm a tryin')
