I've eaten a lot of celery with no problems. And I've eaten a lot of assorted raw veggies. But I can't imagine eating a lot of cabbage or cauliflower. I think I'd be really suffering!

Hehe, this made me chuckle. I'm not the only one who has done this then! I hope you're not paying for it too much.

That's funny. I eat 1/2 head of cauliflower nearly every day with no problems. Guess I'm just used to it! :D
I hope you feel better. :)

I've done that before with that very same recipe. It's so easy to do. What symptoms are you experiencing from it?

Wow- that was FUN!
My stomach was so disteneded I looked 5 months pregnant!
I will make it again- but eat it in moderation! :D -
Thanks everyone.
Oh- and the recipe I used was not measured- I just read it from raeannasun's journal.
cauliflower, cilantro, red pepper, green onion, chili powder, paprika, avocado
and I added semi-dehydrated mushrooms. (just 'til they got soft)
mmmmmmmmm oh and I added some crushed red pepper to spice it up too.

Sounds like a great recipe! I'll give that a try! I found out that I actually like cauliflower, after going raw in December! Funny, the foods I've started to like after going raw only a couple of months! (watermelon is one of them, and I've tried to like watermelon my whole like....and didn't like it until I went raw)
Anyway....take care.

Mookie, I just made that Spanish rice and WOW was it good!!!
I can't believe how good this is...seriously! I haven't added any avocado yet but plan to do that with dinner tonight. I DID add some sun dried tomatoes though.
Here is a pic. I pulsed the cauliflower in the FP until fine. Placed it in a bowl and then pulsed the other veggies (I used 1 red bell, 2 green onions, 2 T chili powder (approx), some salt, about 5 sun dried tomatoes, about 2 tsp paprika and pulsed. Mixed with cauliflower and done.)

mmmmmm that looks delicious..
alissa's orginal recipe calls for sprouted barley but last time i made it the barley was kinda hard and chewy. i'm definately going to give it a try with the cauliflower now!
