I wanted to start this on Monday

Am Spinich and banana smoothie

snack: fruit

Lunch: salad

snack: almonds

dinner: wraps

I bought all the indgredients for 3 days but I can't stick with eating like that. I usually eat 2 big meals a day. I want to eat more through out the day buy have a hard time.

Today I already ate 3 bananas for breakfast,(which were suppose to be for my smoothies), as well as more almonds, some cereal, and now I'm full and I feeel like I could go the reast of the day without eating and i would be fine.I feel soooo full right now and my back hurts from all the food.

Does anyone have any suggestions?I really want to change my eating habits, but I'm sooo use to eating like a pig, its' sooo hard to change that.I even did a master cleanse, but now i'm back to eating like (normal, well this is normal for me). I thought that would help but apparently it hasnt'.

Anyone else use to eat like this and now eat's smaller meals more throughout the day? How did you change?

jen, why do you think you want to eat this way? what is the benefit you are wanting from it or the main reasons for trying to do this?

I've eaten this way before and when I did , I was at a stable weight. I felt healthier, I felt like I was digesting my food better and I was happier.I just could never maintain eating this way.

Now my body hurts from eating like this, especially my back but it's easier to me than eating 5 times a day.

Does this make sense?

Why do you feel the need to change how/when you are eating? Is the way you are currently eating not working for you?

That's interesting because I used to eat bits and bits whole day and my digestion was bad, but now I try to stick just to 3 meals a day(I do eat fruit 20-30 minutes before vegie meal), and it is better.
As for weight-you gain more if you eat less times the same amount. Maybe, you just mix too many kinds of things at one meal?

I keep 2-3 hrs in between for digestion so I don't cross over and ferment food in my body. It just feels so much more efficient and stable.

Best to you Jenjenn! :)

The reason the way I eat now doesn't work for me is because whenever I eat and I feel like I don't want to eat anymore, I always finish whatever is in front of me. For example, If it's a banana, with only 2 or 3 bites I would feel full, but I continue to finish the banana, and if there are more bananas there I will eat those ones too.

I end up feeling full and sluggish, and not able to focus on other things throughout the day.

This is why I want to eat smaller meals throughout the day: so my back won't hurt and I can stop when i'm full.

Jenjenn, do you think the stomach fulness is so quick bc of all the "on and off" with raw eating, fasting, bingeing etc?

;)

ps feeling tired after eating exp little is typically a digestion issue.

I have the same issue. I have two LARGE meals a day. I'd like to have 6-7 small snack sized meals, but I find it really hard to control myself. It'll be much better on my digestion (i have an internal issue that had surgery on october '05.) My metabolism will rev up also, but I'm not sure how to go about it myself.

How about starting gradually with three meals??? so it does not feel so overwhelming....

For me, if i eat fruit with nuts etc i get back pain from gas and bloating. Maybe take a look at food combining principles b/c when i follow them I naturally get hungry every few hours.

Best,
JMD

Actually I've eaten this way for about 10 years mrs. Linda sooo I'm use to this feeling but I DON'T WANT to be use to it anymore. That;s why it' s so hard to stop eating this way. I just want to eat very simply: eat when I'm hungry stop when I'm full.

So I think maybe I'll try what JMD said and start with just 3 meals a day and work my way up. It will be a struggle but I'll try it.
