I tried various things, pate, bread, cake, etc. I just cant find a recipe with almond pulp that I like. Im worried that I just dont like almond pulp, because Im wasting so much of it. I often make almond milk and I either let the almond pulp expire or try it in a recipe that I dont like and waste it that way. I need to find someway of making an appetizing recipe with almond pulp so I stop wasting it. Maybe there is a pate, bread or cake that tastes good but I havent found it. :(
PLEASE HELP! :D

I just got finished making almond milk myself. I am dehydrating the pulp until I figure out what to do with it. Rawkinlocs has a great cinnamon roll recipe using dehydrated leftover pulp.
If you can either dehydrate it or spread it out on a baking sheet in the oven with the lighbulb turned on, it will keep until you are ready to use it for something.

Hi!
Here is what I do with my almond pulp.
After making your almond milk put your pulp into the food processor.
I am very sorry but I don't have exact measurements. I just throw stuff in until it tastes good. That said, add 1 avacado, 2 (or so) ripe tomatoes, some vinegar (maybe 1/3 cup) hot peppers, (to taste), cayenne powder, cumin (I add tons, I love this stuff!) sea salt, and scallions. Process this all together. I think this taste just like taco filling. I love it! I like to hole out the insides of those cute cherry tomatoes (the medium ones not the teeny tiny ones) and stuff this inside. It is really good!
If you try it I hope you like it. I don't make almond milk much so I don't get to eat this very often. I really like it a lot though. If you like it please let me know.

I second Rawkinlocs cinnamon roll recipe, made it the other day for SAD eaters, they had no idea it wasn't cooked, they loved it, I only have one or two left, I BETTER MAKE LOTS MORE!!!
This is a recipe I got off this board, but can't remember who posted it, though I suspect rawpriestess.. I tried it (winging the measurements) and really liked it.. I dont make almond milk very often, but my next mess of pulp is going to go for trying the taco filling... ;)
Hummus:
"base of almond pulp, tahini, garlic, lemon, olive oil, coriander, cumin and topped with diced olives, tomatoes, and onions. The almond pulp makes it a bit 'heavy' but it's still my fave hummus recipe."

Somebody posted a receipe a while back for banana bread. It is delish!!!
1 cup almond pulp
1 cup coconut
6-12 dates, not soaked
1 banana
1/4 cup oil (I use coconut oil)
It works best for me if I mix coconut and dates in food processor, then add banana, oil, and lastly the almond pulp. Sometimes I have to mix the last in by hand, as I have a very small food processor.
Spread on telflex sheets 1/4" thick or use cookie dropper and make individual cookies, smashing down to 1/4" or so. Dehydrate, flipping when desired.
The "somebody" also posted a Italian Bread receipe, I've never tried it, you may want to search for it. Have fun and Enjoy!

Oh boy, do I ever have a great one for you. This recipe makes our favorite cookies!
This makes a large batch, you can half it if you like!
ALMOND BUTTER COOKIES
4 cups almond flour (dehydrate your almond pulp until dry)
1 cup almond butter
3 tablspoons agave nectar
1/2 cup raw honey or date paste
2 tsp vanilla
2 teaspoons sea salt
dash of stevia (optional)
In a large bowl, mix all ingredients well, or use a standing mixer with a paddle attachment. Roll out dough with a rolling pin. You may want to use parchment or wax paper so the dough doesn't stick to the rolloing pin. Roll to 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick. Use cookie cutters to make cookies, then dehydrate at 115 for 12-24 hours or until dry and crispy. Lasts about a week in the fridge. :p

Those almond butter cookies sound really good! I just made some almond milk tonight so I'm dehydrating the pulp and will try them tomorrow. This will be my first recipe using almond pulp. I don't make almond milk that often even though I do love it in smoothies.

Soak pitted dates in water (just to cover) for about a half hour or so. Drain, saving soak water. Put drained dates in blender or food processor, add about half the soaking water, blend/process and add enough of the saved soaking water to get a manageable consistency. My friend Nancy adds vanilla to hers, I don't. HTH.

Well I tried the cookies, and would say they're just ok. Not bad, but not outstanding. Probably won't make again. (JMHO)

MMM, I just made the almond pulp hummus because I made almond milk today. I added some cayenne and am about to eat that with zucchini hummus with red leave lettuce as the wrapper and avocado. It is good!

For the coconut was it fresh or the dried unsweetened?
If it was fresh, I have some coconut meat in the freezer, would I just defrost and measure it out?
This sounds really good!!

today i made a mock tuna out of almonds. after that experience i'm thinking i'll just stick to sweet recipes with almonds.
i just thought of a quick recipe, inspired by larabars and rawkinlocs's cinnamon rolls:
almond paste
dates
water to moisten
cinnamon if desired
chop up dates in food processor, then mix them with almond paste, cinnamon and water.
shape into balls or bars
put in fridge!

I just bought a dehydrator yesterday and I don't know what temp to use when dehydrating almond pulp to make almond flour. How long does it typically take? Also, I know this is a raw food website, but what temp and time do I use for okara to make soy flour?

In Alissa's book there is a recipe for Elaina Love's cornbread using 3 cups of almond pulp -- Awesome!

I made these too and thought they were a little bland. I drizzled some raw choc on them for more flavor, and they were better! So.. if I make these again, I will DEF be making the dough sweeter, and maybe add some orange zest.
LOVED the texture, though! Just like regular/baked cookies!

If you don't find a recipe to your liking that utilizes the almond pulp, you can
always use it in the shower as a scrub.
The pulp will remove dead skins cells and the natural oil from the almonds will also soften.
Try it!

I make cinnamon rolls, I mix the almond pulp with ground flax and add some coconut milk until I get a good consistency. Thank you for sharing some of this recipe, I will love to try each of this.
