View Full Version : Are McDonald salads irradiated, which is cooked?

I think so, because couple days ago I was out with my friend and there was nothing but McDonald there, so I got couple side salads with oil-vinegar dressing, and just half an hour after I started feeling chills and got high fever at night, which was gone next morning. No other symptoms.
So My guess is that they do use irradiated ingredients. Do you know? I am 5 months raw, so I guess my body is sensitive now.

Once after a couple of months of being 100% raw, I ate a salad with ceasar dressing at Wendy's. I got sick and felt really hot and started to sweat. I think it is all the chemicals in the dressing.

I would be careful about eating salads at fast-food restaurants....
they tend to spray them with chemicals to preserve them.
that may have been what you were reacting to.

The dressing was "all natural" Newman's, but you never know... Believe me, after this I will never eat it again-I will make sure I have something with me or just fast.

I think it all depends on the restaurant, I ate at McDonalds the other day, but I didn't eat their dressing, and it was great, I asked them to tell me what was in the salad, and just to put everything on the side, which they did, and I also told them I didn't want the salad if it had any chemicals or preservatives, and they said that they didn't use anything like that, so I ate it and it was great, no reaction, so it may be the restaurant or the area you are in, as I know they buy local produce.
I heard and read SOME places and restaurants put MSG on their salads to keep them "fresh" esp places with salad bars. I call now to check beforehand so I do not get that kind of reaction. I am so sorry you had that experience. It is a GIFT to see how clean our bodies are AND to realize we need to go the extra mile to keep them that way.:)

I have always thought this too.. If not sprayed they are soaked before packaging. To ask them they say no but when I worked in Mc D's years ago that was what a manager had told me once. to keep the greens from getting brown...
I also wonder about the packaged lettuces from the grocery store.. I will not buy them there either just for this worry.
