Hey Everyone,

I wanted to help Lunar*Fey in some way but I don't have money right now and we don't exactly live close to eachother so I decided to fast for her. And I know there are alot of you have been reading, replying, and helping her with her current situation and I thought you would like to join in and help her in anyway possible! So, anyone who would like to join me in fasting or simply fast for her any kind of way is more than welcome!!! (And it doesn't have to be a 24 hr fast or on the date listed below but the sooner the better!)

My fast starts tomorrow afternoon, May 2, 2006 and will end on the afternoon of May 3, 2006. I am refraining from eating and drinking anything.

What a great idea...As I read Lunar*Fey's post earlier this evening, I really didn't know what to say and almost posted a note to say that very thing and that I would pray for her, especially that she would have wisdom. So I see this thread as confirmation for what was in my heart but I did not express. In practicality that means that I will join your effort and pray for her during the next two days. I can't fast with you as I already have some business meetings scheduled tomorrow and Wednesday but I can pray!

I would like to but I really dont want to fast so I will recycle or donate to charity or something like that. I will think about what to do and let you know what I choose.

Edit - I have decided to donate a bottle of B-12 methylcobalamin to my co-worker who as ADD in support of Lunar Fey.

Update: During this time that I've been fasting I have been lead to do 2 more fast after this one. I will be starting the first one on Wednesday, May 3, 2006 and ending on Thursday, May 4, 2006 ( right after this one). The second fast will then be starting the very next day, Thursday, May 4, 2006 and ending on Friday, May 5, 2006.

EmeraldGlow that is an awesome idea! I started last night (Tues May 2nd) at 8:30pm and will end my water fast at 8:45pm on Thursday May 4th to complete 48 hours. All of the time I would be preparing and eating food will be devoted to prayer for her as well as others on my list! :p

EastCoastie ~ Tonight was a little challenging. I wasn't hungry but some issues were coming up and I had to go into my room and pray/meditate and let it all go. Now I'm all better! I am feeling very enlightened and suprisingly I have not been weak or hungry at all since i've been fasting! Thank you so much for hoping I was doing alright. :)

Oh my gosh! I didn't see this until just now. I am honestly almost in tears! Thank you so much EmeraldGlow for starting this, this is so so kind of you. I cannot believe you would sacrifice for me, this is so wonderful of you. Lunar*Fey ~ Today the fast ended. But, I will add you to my once a week fast next week and how ever long you need it. So, while i'm not fasting you will always be in my thoughts/prayers/meditations along with everyone else! And just like EastCoastie said, we do believe in you and it was truly a pleasure to do this for you! I hope that you and the people around you will be able to live in harmony with eachother and understand one another. :) :) :)
