Hello!!

We got our dehydrator from Alyssa and made our first batch of goodies(chips, fruits and flax seed crackers) and they came out great and crunchy. The thing is by the morning about 14 to 15 hr. from getting them out of the dehydrator the chips and specially the flax seed crackers are horribly soggy :(
Can anybody with more dehydrator experiance give us some tips and tricks on how to store this so they do not go soggy so soon and stay crisp? Please :)

Many thanks
Have a wonderful day

What did you store them in?

What SHOULD they be stored in? I am new to dehydrating and was wondering this myself.

Thanks,
Emily

they should be stored in an airtight container, like a double freezer zip lock baggie, or a such and serve, oops, I mean a food saver bag, or a tupperware container that seals.

so, just pop them back into the dehydrator, and once they are crispy again, then you can pop them in to a baggie, this will work wonderfully for you.

Thank you for the tip R.P. I did store in a ziplock bag but it wasn't for freezing, was that what made them soggy? I have some stainless steal bowls with plastic lids do you guys think that will work?
I just love crunchy things and would love to be able to take them to work for munching.

Did you put them in the fridge perhaps? I imagine that doing so would condense some of the remaining water out of the chips/crackers and make them soggy.
