I soaked almonds last night for the first time and not sure what to do this morning. Do I change the water and keep 'em in water in the fridge? Do I empty the water and keep 'em in a container in the fridge? How long will soaked almonds keep? Confused.... Help!

I usually try to only soak what I need (if it's like for a recipe or something) but normally if I just want germinated almonds on hand or to snack on, I soak and then dehydrate.
I know that might sound redundant...but I DO notice a difference in how my body tolerates soaked/dehydrated almonds as opposed to unsoaked almonds out of the bag. I can digest them much better and don't get that indigestion I get from eating unsoaked nuts.
So, if you have a dehydrator, you can dry them in there so they'll keep longer.
Otherwise, I'm not really sure how long they'll keep in the fridge. I'm not even sure if you should store soaked (still wet) nuts in water or just in a jar or something as I've not attempted to store them still wet more than a day or two just in preparation for use in a recipe.

Thanks. The ones I soaked are for snacking. I don't yet have a dehydrator so I guess I will just have to toss some of these. Bummer. Live andl earn.

WAIT...don't toss them yet!!! How many are we talking about here?? Could you freeze them....I think they will keep in fresh water in the fridge for at least a few days....just change the water everyday. Maybe someone else will come along and let us know if they can be frozen!

I've kept soaked almonds in the fridge for up to a week without noticing anything bad. . . that is with changing the water every coupla days or so.

Almons are fine for a week if you change the water and rinse them every day or so....no problem at all..I do it all the time~

I soak almonds almost every day for almond milk, and recipes.
You can soak almonds for several days on the counter, if you change the soak water several times a day, you can place them in the fridge in water, if you change it once a day, you can freeze soaked nuts for a looooooooonnnnnnngggg time, as I do this when I know I will need an undetermined amount of nuts fast.
So, you can just keep them in the fridge in water, and munch, change the water at least once a day.
enjoy
