View Full Version : Is it possible to lose twin-skin with a raw diet??

This is what could push me to eating 100% raw I think. After having the twins nearly 4 years ago, I have this awful flabby, stretchy, stretch-marky skin on my belly. I hate it. I have also gained a tiny bit around there, so now if I wear fitted clothing, I looke about 4 months pg. I can't wear any of my cute summer clothes anymore, and I miss them.

So...could the raw diet do anything for that?? I've heard people mention their skin firming up--so is it possible?

Thanks!

Hmmm...maybe to weird of a question? Maybe I'll just suck it up and do a 30 day challenge and see if there is any improvment in my icky belly.

I totally know what you are talking about.

I've seen this type of skin.

Eating 100% raw will do this:

allow your body to use it's infinite wisdom to heal you in any way this your body needs healing.

So, if you need to lose weight, you will
if you need to gain weight, you will.
if you need to get rid of cancer, you will,
if you need to smooth out your skin, you will.

or at least you will be allowing your body the clarity to do whatever it really needs to do.

just try it, for 30 days, and see what happens, you will be amazed, then you can try it another 30 days, and another.

Thank you Rawpriestess...I needed to hear that. :) I have had two children...but because of my 4' 9 1/2" frame...my stomache is a mess. (plus two c-sections.) :o I love my children...and would have them all over again, but boy...looking at the stretch marks and the skin...ugh. But I would love it if as my body/spirit/mind came into balance...so would my figure. :D Every woman's dream huh!?! But your words encouraged me...so, thank you.

RP thank you...you're posts are always very wise. It's very encouraging to know that my body can heal itself. I want to do this...my fears of missing foods and being "weird" are holding me back. But I know I should just do it. I'm already raw for breakfast, lunch and snacks. How much harder would it be to just eat a raw dinner too? Probably not that hard....

Thanks again...I really need someone to just kick me in the butt and make me do this.

I'm finding that as I'm losing weight, my belly is going down and the skin is shrinking. It's still not where I want it, although the rest of my body almost is... but it IS improving. (I had twins also, then three more after that... stretch marks from knees to shoulders!)

kmik! I love the avatar- You're gorgeous! I'm trying to decide if you look like Sela Ward or Pat Benatar. A little of both, I guess! :)
