I know what you're thinking, how could seaweed possibly taste like popcorn? Yes, it certainly doesn't look like it appearance-wise. But, on the suggestion of a non-raw friend, I tried eating some dried wakame out of the bag and while doing so, I was totally reminded of popcorn! Okay, it doesn't have the smothered in oily, artery-clogging buttery taste- but! it does fill the light, crunchy, naturally salty flavor requirement! Give it a try! All I know is that the next time I go to the movies, I'll be munching a bag of seaweed and my popcorn longings will be put to rest.

I agree with you. Nori and bull kelp are also great.
