Oh LATP, thanks so much, YEP, I am totally jazzed,

Dragggon can't go, someone HAS to take care of our gardens and businesses.

So, I get to go have fun, while he gets to do his job AND my job while I'm gone.

Well when you come back maybe he can go? Or you can be the chef and instructor and he can help with equipment ligging and recipe tasting.

Any way I am just so happy that you have decided to take the next step in sept. You will be one of the best teachers hands down.

Great recipe advise
knowlegeble about all thing s raw you go. I can;t wait to see your pic on the teacher page!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats RP!! You're so knowledgable, I thought you already had!! :)

I do have a question. Once you guys aquire your certification for teaching raw food, where do you guys teach it? From your homes? A rented spot? At the customers home?

I too would like to take all levels of Alissa's classes, but am unsure how I would teach afterwards. I just wanted to get ideas on what other teachers do. What will you do RP?

I have many options, (well, actually everyone does)

but I have a patron who collects my artwork, and he will provide a space for me if I wish to use his ministry, it is a huge building, lots of free parking, and I can do classes there, people could even stay and tent it if they wish, like a retreat too.

Our home is huge, and has many rooms, so we could use that (although Dragggon REALLY doesn't want our home turned into a retreat center) and there are countless places I could rent to teach from, or give a percentage to.

I know alot of people who are alternative healers, etc, who would love to learn about raw foods, and who would be happy to give me a space to teach in return for teaching them, also I'm sure all of that will be covered in Alissa's class, I hear it is very thorough on ALL aspects of teaching.

But my main purpose is Not to teach so much as to have the credentials, so when my book is published, I have lots more initials behind my name of well known instructors.

and besides, I want to meet Alissa, and if I wait too much longer, she will probably be living in Italy, and that is a LONNNNGGGGGG way to go, just to meet anyone. LOL

RP, again, CONGRATS!! I know you'll love it :)

As for where to hold classes...currently I hold most of my classes right here in my home (which is an apartment). My husband bought me a collapsable table that I pull out and it works out really great. I like doing smaller certification classes because it allows more hands-on for them and it's just more personal and cozy.

But I also have been blessed to do classes in other locations such as natural food stores and a natural health facility and those were larger in size, but on a smaller scale than the LOLF training classes...just intro to raw classes.

I also held my very first event in my apartment complex's community room which was "okay", but I prefer to just do it in the comfort of my home where I don't have to worry about if I forgot something and things of that sort.

I am also taking Alissa's class in September!! I am relatively new to living on raw but am thirsting for more knowledge so decided to just do it!! I have already looked at accomodations. I really do not like chain hotels and have researched a couple houses for rent for that week. The price is comparable to a week in a hotel if there would be more people to join. One is on the coast and approx. 15 min drive to her class. It's just beautiful. Let me know if anyone else taking the class is interested. it will be wonderful meeting you RawPriestess. Linda

I have been thinking about it a lot the past few months. I hope to go by the end of the year. Maybe the fall. Fall in New England would be nice.

Alissa only has three classes left in the US this year, and she may not be teaching levels I and II next year, she may only be teaching level III, so
there is June, July or September, I wanted fall in New England, because I've always wanted to see that.

anyway, it was the only time I could get away, and I really wanted to take her class.

I figure I'm raw for life
I can always use more information
I've read her book and seen her DVD about a gazillion times, and I never tire of it
I've taken other classes, and I think you can always learn more
I want to support Alissa for having this site, and for my healing so far
AND I think it would be fun to do more teaching with credentials.

anyone can SAY they are a raw food chef, or anything they want, but with these teachings there is accountability, you are teaching it Alissa's way, and that is the only way that I have ever lost a significant amount of weight, AND known that it wasn't just a temporary thing, this is a Lifestyle, and I am committed to it.

So, with all of that, I decided I just should DO IT!!!

It will be so good to meet some of you there, I can't wait to finally put some faces to your posts.

Congrats to you, RP!

You really deserve this! Have a great time. I know you will. I can't wait to hear all about it, unless I am lucky enough to go and meet you and Alissa!!!

Blessings,

Just catching up with weekend posts... all I can say is "it's about time!" ;)

Seriously, that's wonderful news. You've been a part of Alissa's "family" way before me, so this just seems like a no-brainer! You're going to love it!

I soooooooo want to take a class, but I live in Georgia. I went to the 10 course in Atlanta with the Living Foods Institute. That was when I started raw and living foods. If anyone knows of anything and I mean anything in my area Atlanta to Chattanooga area or a little beyond, I would love to hear from you. I am the only raw and living foodiest I know in my area, heck I only know one vegetarian at that. My husband has just started on his journey with me. He has not worked up to my morning dose of wheatgrass. He has a fruit smoothy every morning a salad with sprouts at lunch and fruit with his SAD dinner. He's getting there. I started RAW & Living about 2 yrs ago. I did 100% for 4 months and then I decreased to about 30-40%. I am now back up to about 70% and starting to feel much better. I am working on getting back to 100%. I have a goal of doing so by June 1st.

Autumn, is in Alabama, I know all southern states look the same to us Northerners.

Actually I have Always felt like a southerner, my Grampa was from the Ozarks but used to tell everyone he was from Texas, LOL
I used to wear a southern flag on my purse and clothes when I was younger, probably some past life thing.

so, although I live in the Pacific Northwest, I FELL like a southerner.
