I know that I saw a post like this earlier, but can someone clear up the frozen fruit and veggie issue? Are they really cooked before they are frozen? I know that in Alissa's book, she uses frozen corn, so it still must be raw, right?
Thanks!

From what I understand, they are blanched first. So yes, they really aren't raw. If you're really concerned you could contact each individual company...maybe a few don't??

Alissa uses frozen corn in the enchiladas, but she cuts the corn off the cob herself and freezes without blanching.
The corn and fruit that is in the store that is frozen is blanched first, so is not raw, unless it specifically says, not heated or not blanched.
Not all companies blanch thier fruit. So you would need to find out for the company. I think in this case the fruit is raw but not living.
