:p :p :p :p :p :p :p
So excited to report that I have completed my 30 day challenge!
Just thought I would share what has happened since I started my raw food journey at the end of February.
I was high raw for about a month and started at a weight of 200lbs. I am now on day 35 100% raw and have experienced these changes:
Lost 45lbs currently weigh 155lbs.
Went from a size 16/18 to a size 10
Quit smoking
Require less sleep, have more energy
Lost my obsession with food, eat for fuel instead of emotional changes
Gained a ton of confidence, if I can do this, I can do anything!
A constant pain in my arm is gone
Menstrual cycles MUCH shorter and with NO pain
Feel an incredible sense of peace with myself and the world aound me
Making positive strides towards getting out of unhealthy relationship
Basically I feel like a new woman!!!! It is wonderful!!!!
I couldn't have done it without this board, so thank you for support that you may not even know you gave!!!
I love being RAW!!!!

Thanks everyone for your awesome support! It feels good to have such an accomplishment under my belt.
As far as my daily diet goes, I keep it pretty simple. A typical day looks something like this:
AM-Juice of Celery, Cucumber, Apple
A couple of Bananas
Grapes or some other type of fruit
Afternoon- Baby carrots
Cherry tomatoes
Some type of nut, usually cashews
PM-Large salad, Whole head of Romaine, a couple of roma tomatoes, a couple of avacados and Alissa's dressing (modified)
In the first couple of weeks I was eating also a dessert type of thing, but have found that I no longer desire it. I will also occasionally make flax seed crackers and keep them in the cupboard for those days when I need them. I like to eat those with guacamole. I also find that right before my period I crave a lot of nuts. I let myself eat as many as I want. I never restricted myself in the 30 days. If I felt like having 3 avacados or a bunch of bananas, I ate them. I also made recipes in the beginning, but really find that I prefer eating foods mono for the most part.
As far as smoking goes, that was a process, and again I did not beat myself up over it during the challenge. I ate 100% raw and my quitting smoking was a journey and continues to be. Once I went raw I found that they tasted awful, but I was still having a hard time kicking the habit. PLus, I had some emotional detox and wasn't willing to also go through withdrawls. What I did was try and go a couple of days at a time and then switched to the patch. The plus to all of this is that the patch recommends using a certain level for about 6 weeks. I am finding that it already is to much and am switching to a lower level. I consider myself quit although I know some would disagree. I have been through HUGE life changes and I don't believe in the whole beat yourself up thing because of it may not be perfect. Life is a journey and ANY change you make WILL make an impact in your life. Over the course of the 30 days I have been able to influence many to just add more whole foods to their diet. They too will make a journey to better living with just 1 small change. So, do what you can and see what happens. If you eat 100% raw then the rest will follow. Just do your best!
Anyway, that's enough of that! :p Hope everyone is have a great day!
