When you freeze bananas, do you take them out of the peel? Or just put the whole thing in? Do I need to put it in a ziplock baggie??
Thanks!

Thanks! Duh, of course the peels would be hard to take off if you freeze them. I'll go put some in the freezer now!

Definitely NOT a silly question. First bananas I froze, I threw in with the peels intact ... boy, those little devils were COLD when I tried to hang on to them and take those frozen peels off!!
Now I peel them, break them up into chunks, and freeze in ziploc baggies. I freeze in small "single service" baggies, so I can take one out & let it set on the counter for 10 mins or so before using if I'm doing ice cream.

the bananas, throw them in a some warm water and it should help in peel removal without defrosting them. (Now I admit I haven't tried this myself but trust the person who did so I am passing this hint along.)

I only froze in the peel once, and I had to toss the bananas, because I let them defrost to try to peel, all I got was banana mush, just didn't like that at all.
so peel, break into pieces, place in zip lock baggies and freeze, and then use, as even in a ziplock freezer baggie, if you leave them too long, they get ooky and icky and mushy and brown, ICK
