Just curious if anyone has ordered raw meals online from them...the site looks great, www.rawlifeline.com. I think I might at least try the $25 pack and see what's up. The menu changes every Thursday, you order by Monday and it's delivered at the end of that week.
Let me know your reviews!

I haven't but thanks for posting that sight. I was thinking about ordering a sampler for my best friend maybe who I will be visiting in California and who is dead against me eating strictly raw. He might go for it.

There items were at my HFS (CoOP).
Here is what I tried and my review-
- Hemp Kale Salad - fantastic, (make it myself now)
- Curry carrot salad- great (make it myself now)salad
- choc pie - good
- choc brownie - rich
- Tomato Basil Pizza - good
- Greek Pizza (I think)- good
- Raw Granola - good
- Un "Meatloaf" - did not like it
- Hummus - I did not like this - I love hummus but this was tart
- flax crackers - did not like these
Some of the food was kind of expensive, so I started making my own. The hemp kale salad was almost 5 bucks.
The ingredients were kale, red bell peppers, olive oil, a little lemon and hemp seeds.
The HFS has since stopped selling their stuff because it arrived frozen and some was not organic and cost to much - (according to them)
I don't think all of the foods are available allof the time.
The convenience was great though.

OneSmartCookie,
I haven't ordered from them but I met Joel (the owner) at the Beat Cancer Symposium in Philly last April...The food I sampled there was VERY GOOD and he is a really nice guy with an amazing raw testimonial...He also shares his recipes.

Thanks for your info, guys. I think I will give it a go. I'm gonna give 30 days raw my best shot, and need some convienence right now (raw does not yet seem to have hit Vermont...go figure =) ).

I have not had the food, but have a friend who orders regularly and loves it. You can also request recipes for everything they make and they email it right to you in just a few minutes.

i've ordered several times...actually expecting some this week. i haven't been happy with their delivery time in the past...it always shows up later than its supposed to which obviously makes me unhappy...but joel has been nice enough to give me free meals because of it. though i'm sure it's not always his fault. i just think that if youre going to pay $30 for shipping..it better get there on time. ya know?
but the food is amazing.
what is it that youre hoping to get?

Miranda!
Wow, $30 for shipping? I didn't realize it would be that much. I think I was just going to try the sampler because I want to try the flax crackers and grawnola (though I just got a dehydrator, so now I can start experimenting with this stuff on my own).
What have you had that you recommend?

I paid $55 for shipping. I ordered the 75.00 package.
I have had the following and all were wonderful:
unmeatloaf
raw pizza
carrot curry salad is to die for
the ice cream (cant remember the name of it)
coconut cream pie
thai salad
burritos
Spring rolls
Chili is wonderful
and probably many other items.
Hummus which i loved.
Its worth the money even with the shipping as if you had to go and buy all the ingredients and the prep time as some stuff has to be dehydrated and the convienence too.
Hope that helps.

I just checked the website and it would be about $59 to ship to my zone and so I think it will be in my best interest to sample a larger meal plan than the $25 one I was going to for my best friend when I go to California next week
Let me know when you get your food onesmartcookie... Right now, I don't have any equipment (processor, dehydrator, etc.) and I don't want to accumulate anything until I officially relocate. Hoping and planning to make the move to California during the fall of this year. I will mainly be enjoying raw food as it is(fresh fruits and veggies) and so this will be a great way to sample raw foods and then eventually I will be able to set up my kitchen once I know what I am going to do - stay or relocate in the fall

I've had the same experience. I've ordered twice from them last year.
The food was great but the shipping very expensive to Texas (it was much more than 30) and late. They did refund me
the last shipment because the food was spoiled when it arrived. The 1st order was borderline
on whether I should eat it or not because it wasn't as cold as I would
have liked when it arrived (actually it was not cold at all, slightly cool-almost warm); but I ate it with no ill effect. They did not ship it overnight but some 2 day morning or something like that. So the next order I paid out the kazoo
for overnight and it arrived later than the 1st time and totally spoiled. That time was the shipping companies fault though I think. So since I live
so far and texas so hot it didn't work out for me unfortunately.
This did happen in the summertime.
If you live closer you might not have that problem though.
Again the food was wonderful and the people nice.

Since the shipping is so much you can also in addition to the 75.00 package you can add additional items like another serving of the unmeatloaf or additional desserts or crackers. The shipping amount will not increase due to ordering more food and the food is wonderful!

Yea, the reason I want to try them out is because PA is pretty close to VT--most of the other online sites/restaurants that ship raw meals are out in CA, and the shipping all the way to the east coast is pretty INSANE! But Miranda and I both live in Burlington and she said about $30 for shipping to here...which isn't awful, but...ah, I don't know. I just WISH there were a raw restaurant or cafe around here...or even a juice bar! No such luck. Yet.

yea i spent $140 the last time i bought from there which was last week...the shipping is ridiculous. it usually takes them 2 days to ship it and most of the time stuff leaks...if i'm paying that much..i want the overnight service and i want my food to be in edible form :). so i just put a note in the added info area saying that i'd be out of town on friday and needed my food on thursday :) it worked. wooo.
but yea...their raw pizza is fabulous. as are their flax crackers. those are my favorites. i need to learn to make my own though....i'd save a whole lot of money that way!!

You can also get shipped meals from this place. The food is a little higher than raw life line but the shipping is less for me anyways. I just got my box of raw food today and lets just say I am in raw food heaven!!!!!!!!

You have to email them for this weeks menu to go. They ship out on Friday and arrive on Sat. Excellent customer service too!

My $60+ order arrived 8 days after I ordered it- :( Not Packed on Ice!!!! the frozen dessert.....open, melted and spilled on everything- I threw out the Pizza and the burrito they smelled sooooooo gross - Stinky trash can smell...... :( the only thing left was Raw granola which was good and soggy flax crackers- 2 bags which I threw out a few days later- NEVER AGAIN!
I promptly ordered my dehydrator to make my own stuff-
Maybe it was too hot to have this delivered by UPS to Southern Texas? 88 degrees out and on a truck all day- why no ice?
Have a GREAT day!

They (RAWLIFELINE) use dry ice. They typically ship out on Wed and your shipment arrives on Thursday or Friday. I am sure had you contacted them they would have sent you a free weeks worth of food or refunded your money.

Oh...I ordered on a Wednesday, that must have been the issue- I got it the next Friday- They said they ship with dry ice....but the styrofoam was warm and condensating inside with rotting greens smell- mixed with the melted dessert-ugh! They agreed to offer a credit on my next order. What next order- it is not edible when it arrives so???? why waste the ingredients- I am sure it is awesome for those in cooler climates or closer to the source- I was sooooooo....looking forward to trying the dishes :( very sad!
But, my dehydrator just arrived today!!!!
Have an AWESOME Day.

I just received my first order yesterday. The food is amazing!! I am so happy with everything so far and even more excited because this is just what I need right now. I am very limited on what I can make myself & often need prepared foods, but most everything available is just snacks. This is at least real food. I highly recommend ordering their food if you can afford to do so, especially for anyone who is either too busy, doesn't like to prepare food or just wants to make their raw diet easy with variety. Let me also add, that I am VERY picky. I like this food because it is raw gourmet and delicious. Now I just need to manifest more money too help pay for it. :p

I'd take them up on the offer. You already lost your initial investment, so if this is free of charge to make up for it, you may as well try. You could order non-perisheables or nut butter, or something that you feel won't spoil.
Also ask when the best time to ship is.

I don't know if you have any health food stores by you that might carry their stuff. I get mine at the store to avoid the shipping charges. You might want to suggest your health food store open an account with them

I had a bad experience, too, with RawLifeLine. I ordered and paid huge, HUGE shipping b/c of my zone, it arrived hot and spoiled. I emailed, and got a nice reply indicating problems with deliveries and saying I would get another shipment. It never came. I emailed again asking for a refund, was told it would happen, and it never did. I had to put the charge in dispute, and in the meantime was charged again. I think they might have been trying to give me the refund and hit the wrong button. :o
Anyways, my credit card company finally cleared it up for me, but I won't be trying RLL again.
I do know a girl who lives much closer to them, and she loves it.

Anyone ordered from BOTH rawlifeline and rawcafe? Can someone who has ordered from both give their opinions on which was more expensive total (including shipping) and which has better foods, or what the best foods are at each place? Thanks in advance!

I haven't ordered from Pure Raw Cafe mainly because it looks like they don't give enough food for what you pay. They don't have the menu on-line & every time I e-mail them, it takes a week or two and then they send a menu that says it's too late to order.
Besides what's shown on-line, Raw Lifeline includes a bag of raw granola. I've liked almost everything. I'm a little picky w/certain things, but there has been nothing I've hated. Foods I normally wouldn't like, I like much better raw or mixed w/other ingredients. They include a dressing which can work for more than 1 item if you need extra flavor. Usually I have left over of that so I use it on a salad. They allow substitutes if you know you don't want something. They guarantee everything so you should never have a problem getting a refund if necessary, which luckily hasn't happened yet.
