date question

just a quick question. alot of recipes use dates, which are great, however my food processor does not process them very well, they never get smooth, and are just thrown around. what am i doing wrong?

It might help to soak them first, for an hour or so?? just until they are softer. I soak my dates unless they are really gooey and moist and fresh.

That's my only thought/idea here... :)

I also have a hard time getting my dates to "puree"...what I do is soak them for about an hour and then chop them alittle before putting them in the FP. That seems to help alot. I also save my soak water and add alittle of that depending on how much they are processing! Good luck.
