You look rawesome awesome hot TP !!!!!!!!! Way to go :)
thanks! ;)
it's been about 25lbs since actually going raw.. and I feel great! I just had a week of being sick and detoxing and still have a little congestion right now, but even in the midst of it I feel great. what a contrast to before... in the past when I would get this kind of cold, I could have it for weeks and need antiobiotics etc.. This time it's was just one night of a really bad headache, a few days of some dizziness and all the while feeling great at the same time.. It's nice to have actually have an immune system! :)

You look great! (I was going to say radiant or glowing, but that's too girly) ;)
Keep up the good work.
wow thanks all! its not hard to stay raw when it feels this good. from what faith4u said, that describes how I feel.. everything is more 'vivid, sparkly, and clear'. i am just enjoying it one day at a time.. ;)

hey TP, Congrats on the weight loss. I started at 180lbs and I also lost 20 lbs as well. What does you family think of your tranformation?
Great job for staying 100 % raw. :D

Wow u look great! Kinda hot TP! :D
I am happy for you.
What does you family think of your tranformation?
The wife likes it.. which is a good thing lol.. She too has lost 20lbs so far on about 75% raw. The kids could care less... lol.. Other family members (in laws primarily) that have seen me, at first said things like I was too skinny, but then once the initial shock wore off they said I looked good (and asked me not to lose any more weight, to which I just smiled). The funniest one was my 12yo half sister. I hadn't seen her since christmas, and she was totally scared of me, it was such a shock to her. It took her about an hour to stop looking at me like I was the boogie man! She kept staring though, and the only thing she could say to me "you look weird". :D
Your little ones are adorable by the way.
Thanks! I couldn't agree more! :D

Hi TP,
As everyone else has said - you look great.
It's funny, my daughter was just sharing with me how much milder her colds are now that that she is high raw, just as I was reading this thread, so I read to her what you wrote about your cold. She could totally relate to what you said.
Continue with your journey to a better and healthier life. Also, so glad to hear that your wife is seeing benefits from being even 75% RAW!!!

I was gonna ask what your height was.
I'm the same height, and right now 'em at your starting weight.
(I've only been over 200 pounds for the last few months... well, since fall, and as I saw my weight heading that way I told myself that as soon as I crossed over I was going on a diet... hoping that the impending threat would cause my body to behave.
Of course, it wasn't my body, it was me.
Anyways, been looking at Raw Food for months, pretty much since you start date. (You better believe I'm kicking myself for not starting then, so I can already be where you are...)
Anyways, I'm starting on monday. (I'm away with non-relatives this weekend, so don't feel like I can start this and impose on them without having evidence of the effects and whatnot) And I'm hoping to lose just about as much as you in the same amount of time for a event coming up.
How much more do you think you need to/or want to lose? I know based on different body types and muscle density 175 could be "thin" -- I've been there, and seeing as I'm a couch potato I'm still a bit chubby at 175.
(I've bought freeweights to help...)
So, I guess my rambling questions are:
How much more do you think you could or want to lose?
What's your body-type? (How personal, ack!)
Thanks,
PATH301

Yo TP,
Dude I've been there when some of your friends and family are really excited for you and they to want to know what your doing so they can try it themselves. Then you have the lookers like your half sister. And then the ones that say to you, well that's just not "safe" or natural, because they only know what they've been trained to know. In my case those who have said these comments to me ,are themselves over weight and need to change their own bodies.
Keep up the good work - the more you keep going others we come around and start asking questions, you can start sharing your raw food creations for them to taste and see if they like it? Others will need documentation and proof that it's safe and all.
Just relax and have fun with it :D

Your wife is 75%? That is soooooo cool. I'm so happy that your companion is joining in on the fun with you! You are so blessed. Even though she's not 100% it's still a great accomplishment. Congrats for her too!
Keep on keepin on, and remember to HAVE FUN!!

Welcome to the board Berniquen!
If I had to guess, I'd say there is still at least 10 to 15 pounds of fat on my body..but I don't know for sure.. I've been saying all along (for years actually) that my goal weight is 170. Now that I am getting close to the goal, I think it's going to actually be 160 or 165, but if I don't get there, I am happy at 170. And actually, my whole perspective has changed over these 12 weeks. I really don't worry about weight now. I trust my body will find its sweet spot as I continue to eat right and exercise. My only reason for still desiring more weight loss is just for my athletic activities/goals. I like to play Ultimate Frisbee and Flag Football as weekly recreational activities, on top of the regular jogging and weights at the gym. These sports involve a lot of sprinting and cutting etc and I am getting older so it's getting harder to keep up with the youngsters I play with and against. The best way I can think to help myself in these efforts is to weigh less, and continue to fuel my body with raw food. I am not a naturally muscular type. The last place I am going to lose the fat from is my waist. Even when I was in the best shape of my life, playing football and wrestling in high school, I still had a spare tire. Maybe the raw diet will allow me to lose it for the first time, but I doubt it..
I encourage you to get active at the same time you begin your raw "diet". The two really go hand in hand, and the exercise will help the body flush the toxins. As you start eating raw food, start lifting those weights and get regular cardio exercise too... Even if it's just for a few minutes every day to start. You'll be amazed at how quickly your body responds and how good you will feel.
