Lately my skin has been turning pinkish-orange. I have always had pink tones, but not this orange. It kinda looks like I put a really light coat of self tanner on. It is not loud, just a light hue. Is it detox?
Thanks

Not sure if this will be much help, but I know someone who, when she eats tons of carrots, the palms of her hands get an orange tinge to them?
Are you eating a lot of carrots?

I eat carrots every day in my salad. It is the amount of one carrot. I used to drink lots of orange juice, but not in the past two weeks.

carrots and carrot juice turn me orange. When I was pregnant with my son I drank a carrot juice every day and I turned orange. It was lovely

It is different. Today I noticed my roomates skin is kinda orange too. He is doing the 30 day chalenge with me. Sometimes I will make him a salad. I am sure that is it. If anyone else has any other ideas, let me know.
Thanks

When you eat more beta carotene than your body needs, the excess is stored in your tissues and tints your skin a yellowish color. It's called carotenosis. It doesn't cause any problems except for the skin thing, so no worries there...do you eat a lot of cantaloupe, carrots, mangos, or other orange foods?

sounds like a few too many carrots, which I didn't think was possible, as I used to drink alot of carrot juice, and never turned orange

When I was a baby I'd turn orange if I ate too many carrots. Especially my nose. I eat carrots almost every day now and that doesn't happen. But it can happen to some people. I remember reading some advice column where a teen was drinking tons of carrot juice every day thinking it would clear up his acne. It didn't. But it did turn him orange! You might try eating them every other day or getting some yellow (they're almost a cream color) carrots if you can. I've been getting them in my organic produce box but I don't think I've seen them in any stores.

this happened to my son too when he was a baby. Esp. around his nose. He ate a ton of carrots, sweet potatoes, squash. I 've heard it happen to a lot of people.
