View Full Version : MC-tongue?

For those of you that have done the Master Cleanse already, how many of you stopped once you're tongue went back to the pink color.
The reason I asked is because today is day 9 for me and I'm thinking that I want to stop when my tongue turns pick again, but also I'm starting to get hungry and don't know if I can wait much longer. So I'm wondering how long it takes different people for their tongue to turn back to it's normal pink color?

I did 10 days .. and am sad to say that I never noticed the color of my tongue! Didn't even think of inspecting it.
I told myself 10 days, and so since I had a definite ending that may be why it was fairly easy for me. Whenever I was gettign slightly hungry I just chugged more of the cayenne-lemonaid. Are you using cayenne in it? That seemed to help with staving off hunger .. that and the raw honey in it!
9 days is FANTASTIC! Also, this isn't the only time you can do it .. if you feel you're getting down, why not end at 10 days and then pick it up again in a few months or something?
I know that if I can make something F-U-N then I'm going to be better off than if not .. so make it fun or complete it and go again later.
Well, that's my wise advice. LOL

I'm soooo craving foood right now. but I'm staying strong. Whoever said after day 3 it gets easy was so wrong. For me since I;m going to eat again soon it's driving me crazy thinking about it and also Friday seems soooo far away till I can eat food again,,, I'm hanging in there.Tommorrow's my last day, yay!!!!Wednesday I will have OJ all day then Thrusday I'll have oj in the morning and watermelon soup and maybe a little bit of veggies for dinner. Then back to normal food on Friday, I'm going to try to stay raw although I highly doubt it , now that I haveen't eaten anything in over a week I feel like I will have a ravenous appetite once I begin eating again, I will try to have control,,,....wish me luck.
Oh also my back has been killing me all day today , the lower part, I don't know why I guess usually it's use to having more weight pulling it down and since it doesn't it feels uncomfortable and sore???
Strange since when I eat a ton of food my back hurts from the 5lbs. of weight pulling it down, now I don't have anything in my stomach and it hurts altough in a slight different way, feels like it's healing sorta, I wish I could maintain this control with food once I get off the cleanse,,,, I hope so that would be awesome!

Today is my last day fasting. It is day 30 for me. I did a juice fast for 2 days, hen the Master Cleanse for 26 days and now fresh OJ for 2 days for a total of 30 days.
My tongue is still not pink. I was hoping that my tongue would clear up but it has not. I decided to do 30 days and my husband does not want me going longer than that. I'm not really sure I want to either right now. In a way I feel like I am done, but in another way I feel like I am not because of my tongue. But I am stopping. Tomorrow I will eat. I am excited about eating again.
Maybe next time I fast my tongue will clear up.
Sorry I don't have any good answers for you, just my own experience.
It does get easier after day 14 I thought. My hardest time was the second week, days 9-14. I started craving all manner of cooked food. I went through some pretty big withdrawals, but now I am over that and very excited to eat raw food again!

MC is not a fast in the strict sense so the detox stages are quite drawn out. A thirty to forty day water only fast (under qualified supervision!!!) would probably get you to that level of detox.
My longest water fast (with qualified supervision!!!) was 21 days with no total clearing tongue. I was well entrenched in a healthy lifestyle before the fast so it was getting pretty clear towards the end of that time.
Recovery is so extremely important that the supervised fast is the only way to go with extended water fasts.
I would recomend this place for anyone seriously considering a safe water only fast with experienced and scientifically trained supervisors.
