Well I recieved my book and dvd on friday and took the whole weekend to read and learn a little and decided to start today! I feel good that i made the decision and i think this will come natural to me so we will see..
I did have a question if anyone can help me,all i have right now is a juicer and a blender i ordered a dehydrator and should get it next week and the 4 week plan of food i am going to try to start when i have the tools to make the food but for now i am just going to eat raw food is it ok to just eat what ever you feel like? Like today my breakfast was a shake that i made with 2 small oranges 2 bananas 1/2 cup strawberries and water.lunch i made a salad and made my dressing and i brought some watermellon and another banana in case i get hungry but all the food is raw and organic...what do you think??
and one more question i didnt see in the book a detox liquid diet or is the detox stage the 30 days of eating raw food? Thanks again!!

Hi Mamma Mia! Welcome!!
I am quite the Raw-novice myself, but it seems that the ultimate raw foods way of eating would be to just listen to your body and eat what it is asking for.. and that is exactly what you're doing!!
The book and video are ways to increase your raw vocabulary or repetiore from which to choose from, so when you just can't see anything in your fridge or produce basket that is inspiring, you can turn a few pages of the book and get inspired.
I haven't made many prepared meals from the book yet. I will be choosing something today to make. I want to build my idea of what is possible, and the book is helping me with that. Eventually I will have as many ideas of what to do with raw foods as I currently have of what to do with unraw foods (flour, sugar, fat, spices, eggs, veggies ... and the many ways to cook/boil/steam/fry them).
Congrats to you Mamma Mia .. you're gonna love this supportive forum, and are gonna really love the good feeling raw food creates in your body!!

Welcome Mamma Mia!
I made the leap in February so I'm fairly new too.
I've had more luck with eating whole raw fruits and veggies than I have with the "prepared" dishes in the book. I've found that the recipes tend to try to copy or replace a "SAD" food and I was sorely disappointed. But juices in the morning, fruit and cut veggies in the afternoon and big honkin' salads has been my regimen lately.
Some quick juice recipes that are delicious...
Pineapple, orange, kale & parsley
Tomato, celery, kale
Carrots & Apples
The big message here is "Do what works for you and your lifestyle".
Again, welcome aboard. Glad you could make it!
Peace and Love,
Dancer

I might just add some sees or nuts, maybe on your salad. But that's just me, I really enjoy fats and proteins and like something to crunch into.

Thanks for replying i did add some sunflower seeds and ate a whole avocado with my salad i was really hungry but i was really full and satisfied after!
I think i need to add more greens so ill try that in the next few days !
Also me and my kids Juiced watermellon on sunday and they loved it! i let them each do their own juicing and they were so impressed that a machine could do that!!funny but slowly i want to show them how i eat and how it is making me happy so maybe they will want to try...well thanks again!

Hi Mia! Seems like an awesome start to me! I started out whitout anyhting new, now I have a blender, and thats all, but we get by just fine.. So having it all right there, that will be sweet! And I quite agree with the others, listen to your body and let it guide you along! All the best!
