I just bought my first dehydrator. I wasn't sure about the process stripping the good food of important nutrients so I delayed the purchase.
I've been reading a lot more and thought I'd do it so I could add more variety to my choices.
Does anyone have any suggestions about the quality of the food that's dehydrated?
I was nervous to leave it on overnight, while I was sleeping. But most foods require 12-18 hrs, it seems necessary that I do. Not long ago I've experienced a small fire in an electric chip cooker, it scared the bigeebies out of me! It was an electrical fault in the wires underneath that started a small fire inside the unit.
I may be a little highly strung from this incident.
