Quite a while ago a friend and I were having a discussion on celery. (I live an exciting life, no? ;) Anyway, I told her that I only like celery hearts, and even at that, only the whitest celery. The green tastes too bitter for me. She told me that years ago they put something on celery to keep it white, but they've gotten away from that. Does anyone know what she is talking about? Or where/how to find just the white part of the celery for sale?
