View Full Version : Need help with what to order online (food)
I'm thinking of ordering (again) with eatraw.com ...
Who has ordered here before and what did you order that you ABSOLUTELY loved?? I'm thinking about raw crackers and cookies here, stuff I can't make myself...
I've ordered from them before, I know they might not be the best since they don't answer when you have problems plus they charged my visa TWICE but I don't know any other company that sells such a wide variety of dehydrated stuff... do you know other sites that ship internationally that have the best cookies/crackers???
Please help me out here, I want to order stuff I won't regret paying a lot of money for (international shipping + extra taxes, it s*cks to live in Belgium when it comes to ordering online  )

I order from Natural Zing. All raw, organic and quite tasty. I recommend the curry crackers and the and the green crackers. I'm getting the ginger nori next.
Also, I just received Lydia's Raw Organic Seasoning. I've used it in guacamole and in salad dressings. Very good.

I love lemon swirls by Blessings as well as the caramel chews. I am so cheap I replicated the recipe for the lemon swirls and call it lemon chews. I pipe them out on the dehydrating sheets into shapes, the kids love them. I've made initials, symbols, x's and o's (for kisses and hugs) that sort of thing.
I didn't care for the Raweos at all and frankly wouldn't suggest spending money on them. They are supposed to be a raw Oreo, but they are pretty bad. Noone like them, couldn't even take a little bite, they were so bad. I complained but didn't get much resolved about them.
I'd suggest getting as much stuff as possible since you are paying so much in shipping anyway, might as well get as much as you can. Store it all in the fridge so it'll stay fresh as long as poss.

Prompt shipping, everything in order.
I know nothing more about the company.
Thanks already guys for your posts!
Sharon I've heard others say the same about the raweos, but you know, I don't even KNOW what the real oreos taste like!! We don't have those in Belgium!! So okay I'll stay clear from the raweos, lol!
As for ordering a whole bunch, I would, but I'm leaving probably next month for what I think will be a year (check my journal, under one pic I talked about it) so it would be a bit silly to order THAT much... but like for a month or so... But I'll look into the lemon swirls, I think Sue mentioned them as well, she liked them a lot if I'm correct...
Thanks for your tips!!

Jay....did they ever correct their error in double charging you?
Well the minute I saw my visabill, I sent them email (two times I think, the 2nd one was a resend of the first complaint) and I also called the people from visa and explained. I needed to fax the visa people a letter in which I stated that I got charged twice, and they look into it then and give the money back the next month, so they actually talk to the company or whatever that overcharged you. Everything was okay the next month, I got the money back, but you know, I NEVER heard from eatraw, not even something like we are looking into it, or like we appologize for this all... nothing!! If fact, why do I even want to order with them again?!? I said I'd never do that anymore after that, and still, here I am wanting to order from them again... it's just they have SO much delicious looking stuff and such a wide variety... lol

What a great site. I, too, have been wanting to order and now I have what seems to be a good company to order from. I really appreciate the link!

Yes I will absolutely post the Lemon Chew recipe. I have to find my notebook - didn't save it on here. As soon as I find the thing, I'll put it under this thread and the recipe section. It is absolutley delicious, and the ingredients consist of soaked cashews, coconut, lots of lemons and agave nectar, but I need to find that recipe so's I can get the measurements to you.
It's probably the best 'cookie' I've made.
Oh - I found it! Here it is:
2 cups soaked cashews
zest from 2 lemons
juice from 3 lemons
1/2 cup of agave nectar or honey (or to taste)
2 cups dried coconut
Process nuts until creamy, then add remaining ingredients & process to cream. Taste it to make sure it is sweet enough, but it should be nice and tangy from all the lemon zest & juice.
Drop into thin wafers or pipe through decorating bag (or zipbag with corner snipped off) on to dehydrating sheets. You can make initials, shapes, etc.
Dehydrate for quite a while until the outsides are fairly hard, but they should still be a chewy. I had to dehydrate mine 18-24 hours, and transfer them to mesh sheets once they solidified.

do you know other sites that ship internationally that have the best cookies/crackers???
Not sure if this site ships internationally.. I can call them and ask.
OK, I just called (they're located in NY). I think I spoke to the owner herself. She said they have shipped to Germany and Hong Kong, and so she would ship to Belgium as well. The site is:
All raw. Note I have NO affliliation with this company. I only heard about them this morning, from a friend. But, I did hear their stuff is amazing. They've just come out with a new line of raw breads, but they also have cookies as well. I will order from them sometime in the future. The olive bread sounds particularly delicious, and is their best seller.
Note to US buyers: If you order over $100 worth, you get free shipping.
thank you for the great link and calling them and asking them if they ship to Belgium, that's very kind of you! :)
I'll go check the site now and see if I like to order some stuff,

If you decide to order from Audrey's Pleasure, I highly recommend the Royal Cheez bars. They are amazing, they taste like my grandmother's cheese straws (cheese pastries)!
Thanks for the tip!
But I'm wondering about the cheese... I don't know how the cheese tastes in America and if it's a lot different from the cheeses I know here in Belgium and Holland... has anybody ever tasted Dutch cheese and can compare it to the American cheeses??
dear god, what a silly question I just asked, hahahaha! Okay, i'll look into it, but it looks like eatraw still has more variety and since it's pretty expensive to have it shipped to belgium, I'm thinking of ordering with them instead... but thanks for your tips!
Who else likes other stuff from Eatraw.com?? What can you reccomend me?
since I'll be leaving in a month, I won't order online anymore, there's no change i'll be able to take all the crackers and cookies with me, lol!
But my good friend Elke made me a bunch or crackers and cookies, so there wasn't any need to order anyway!
But I still would like to thank everyone for helping me out and giving tips! :)
