Dehydrators-ok to leave them running when not at home?

I'm new and just got my Excaliber which I'm really excited about but I hesistate to leave it running all day while I'm at work. Have any of you wondered about the safety of it? I never leave my clothes dryer on anymore while I'm not at home just in case of the rare time it might catch on fire.

i think it's fine. since i live in a one room apt, i PREFER if I am not home to hear it! never had a problem.
