I like ice in my smoothies. If I keep my smoothie in a bottle in the freezer at work, will it turn into a block of ice by lunch or will it be drinkable?

It depends on how long until lunch and the temp of the freezer. My guess would be you will end up with a block of green ice. You could have possibly made your smoothie and froze it overnight and then let it thaw all morning so it would still be a bit icy for lunch. Maybe try putting it in the freezer about one half hour before your lunch and see how chilled it gets. The next day you can try an hour if it wasn't chilled enough. Increase each day as needed. I would also look into a portable blender like that magic bullet kind that you can just bring your smoothie, keep it in the refridgerator and blend with ice throughout the day when you want ice in your smoothie.

It may work if you make your smoothie more concentrated and then freeze it. You can then add it to room temp water some time before you want to have it.

just wondering, how much nutrient loss, if any, is there when you freeze green smoothies?
many blessings,

I am also a big fan of crushed ice in all of my smoothies and drinks. I would suggest that you put it into the freezer at work for about 1-2 hours and then keep it in the fridge after that. You do not want to let it get to the frozen point as you lose the great crushed ice texture, but you do want it to be very cold when you switch it to the fridge. At that point I think the fridge would be able to handle it well enough
