View Full Version : Improvements After Almost 5 Months Raw!

I have been raw almost 5 months. I did my 30 day challenge in December 2005 and afterwards, I became 95-100 percent raw. Prior to adopting raw, I ate the gluten-free, dairy-free, etc. way and had been slowly transitioning into a vegan diet. My goal was to be as healthy as I could be on every level. I believe I was healthy before, but I wanted to pursue what they call 'optimum health' while permanently reversing my chronic fatigue syndrome too :) I also wanted to increase my spiritual vibration so that my intuition is clearer, etc.

So...I am happy to give this preliminary report of success! I have followed Alissa's recipes almost exclusively, by the way! I love her cookbook!

I have met and manifested my goals, but I also have noted some other very fun improvements:

--I sleep better and less
--More energy
--No more cravings or emotional eating
--Clearer intuition and connection to spirit
--Faster recovery time from exercise...wow!
--Ability to stay hydrated more effectively
--Less body fat, slowly getting "cut" even though weight loss wasn't my main goal
--Healthier nails with faster growth
--No more cracked heels!
--Clearer, more vibrant eyes
--Color in my skin, with smaller pores and no more breakouts
--No more severe menstrual cramps (I suffered with these for 20+ years)
--I have always looked younger than my age which is 34, but people have thought I am 21-22 as of late
--Healthier hair that grows faster and is more lush
--Regularity! (I suffered from constipation almost life long and had been diagnosed with irritable bowel syndrome many times LOL) My digestion is sooo much better!
--Happiness and a spring in my step! Joy for my life purpose!!!!

There are other improvements I think I may have forgotten, but these are the main ones. I notice as of late my size 4 jeans are getting looser...but, I actually look more muscular now than I did when not raw...I do not look pale or gaunt or anything like I did in my vegetarian days in the 1980's and 1990's :) Whoohooo!

I want to bottle up my excitement and share it with everyone I meet, but I have learned that the best way to do this is to just live it :)

Yaaaaayyyy!!!

Love to all,
Lisa

Those are powerful improvements. It is amazing how raw can awaken us from slumber. It is better to go through life awake, I don't want to miss a thing. Thank you so much for sharing.

Thanks for the kind words :) I'm just mirroring how inspirational you are :)

I forget who asked, sorry...My long-term goals are to continue eating raw, of course, but I also want to prevent illnesses that are in my genetic lineage. I hope to accomplish my athletic goals in regards to bike racing :) Those are the "physical" ones ;)

I do have pictures, but I need to get some tech support from my hubby on how to post...I will probably get to it eventually over in the raw journal section :) I'm thinking in another month, it will be fun to do since it will be at my six month mark :)

Hugs and love to all,
Lisa
