spring greens
onions
garlic
miso
add mushrooms sliced after pureeing.
pulse-chop with above ingredients until desired consistency.
You may dehydrate this soup until it's a wilted and warm as you desire. I usually dehydrate mine for one hour or longer.
Adding a diced avacado just before serving adds a nice touch.
This soup is delicious alone or with root cakes.

Thank you Purl and Raw Priestess :)
Root cakes are a my raw version of the cooked root cakes (or potato cakes). They can also be made by any root veggie out there, I imagine. :)
Finally, a soup that is not just vegetable smoothie in a bowl! I'll definitely have to try this, it may keep me away from my lone vice of cooked soup forever. :D

Hello, Zena! Thanks for your reply.
'Tis true, quite a few raw soups are pureed and taste to me like baby food, that is why this soup. It's interesting pieces of veggies create a delicious, savory meal that is never boring, that's for sure!
Enjoy! :D
I just made it! I changed the recipe a bit, I used 3 cups of water instead of 4 'cause I was only making it for two people and to strengthen it, put the nama shoyu and half the garlic and onion in the blender too, used collard greens for the greens and put some oregano in.... but it was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! And sooooo satisfying, normally I constantly have the munchies but I don't want to eat anything else right now! We'll definitely be making this a lot 'cause my mom loves it too, even though she's still having trouble getting past cold soups. :D Once again, thanks so much for sharing! I'm about to go post pics in the pics thread.

I forgot to add that I put the soup in my dehydrator for about one hour to warm it up.
Zena, glad you appreciate the soup and the pic is yummie looking. It is a very satisfying soup.

We have a tiny flat dehydrator, it's not possible. :( But do you think that putting the bowl in another bowl filled with hot water would work as well?

Yes. That would work.
Also, you can use warm water to start with.

This time when making the soup, it was made with some alterations. I added one cup less water then added 1 T. Spike salt free seasoning. Then, the soup went into the dehydrator for about an hour or so to warm it up. Just before serving, into the soup went one diced avacado......it turned out so delicious and savory and satisifying. Yummmm.

Zena,
I think I read on one of these boards awhile back that you can heat liquids on a small dehydrator by putting it in a plastic bag (like a Ziploc).

EC, thank you! I'll try that! I was actually looking at this thread again because i'm making it right now, haha.

I made this for lunch today and WOW! I used Bragg's aminos and baby spinach for the greens. I didn't have green onions, so I left those out, but it was still really yummy. :)
