My husband took me to Café Gratitude, in San Francisco the first one on Harrison, for our wedding anniversary. Isn’t that sweet, especially considering he’s not a raw vegan like me? I liked much of the food. I made this list for myself so I wouldn’t forget what I had and how I liked it and I thought I’d share it with you guys. Here’s what we ordered and my opinions. :p

My husband and I had:
Bruschetta
Sampler plate with nachos, Caesar salad (a substitute), olive tapenade, hummus, falafel (a substitute), fiery carrot avocado soup (a substitute), buckwheat-sunflower flatbread, flax-carrot crackers, and almond toast.
Hawaiian pizza
Soft serve ice cream sundae with brownies and chocolate syrup
Cinnamon bun
Mint chocolate shake (returned for regular chocolate shake)
Chocolate shake

These are my opinions in order of how I liked them:
:D Loved - soft serve ice cream & chocolate syrup (tasted like vanilla bean ice cream) :D
Really liked - nachos (used buckwheat-sunflower flatbread with “bean” dip instead of flax-carrot crackers)
Liked - bruschetta (almond-flax crackers)
Liked - pecans and caramel syrup (on cinnamon bun)
Liked - thick almond toast (same as almond-flax crackers)
Liked - medium thick buckwheat-sunflower flatbread (pizza crust and sampler crackers)
Fine - Hawaiian pizza (avocadoes are not my favorite, needed more pineapple)
Fine - Caesar salad (croutons - crumbled almond toast)
Okay - chocolate shake (too much cacao for me)
Okay - fiery carrot avocado soup (better as a dressing)
Okay - peppery avocado dressing
Okay - fig-balsamic dressing
Okay - brownies (better the next day with the chocolate syrup soaked into them and made them moist)
Okay - cinnamon bun (better the next day after I warmed it in the dehydrator and added, extra, my own raw caramel syrup)
So-so - hummus
So-so - thin flax-carrot crackers
So-so - falafel
Disliked - mint chocolate shake (I guess real mint is too much for me, it tasted like rye bread to both of us, weird huh?)
Disliked - citrus-garlic house dressing
Disliked - coconut-lime vinaigrette dressing (IÂ’m not much into coconut)
Hated - olive tapenade (I donÂ’t like olives so itÂ’s no wonder)

The things my husband and I are going to order next time (in order of desire):
:D ICE CREAM SUNDAE with chocolate syrup and caramel!!! :D
Nachos (substitute buckwheat-sunflower flatbread instead of flax-carrot crackers)
Sampler Plate (with different substitutes to get more variety of the food)
Vanilla Milkshake
Mudslide pie OR Layered cake
Spicy mole pizza OR Marinara pizza (no olive tapenade) OR Enchilada (no side of quinoa [cooked] or rice [cooked]) OR Daily house special
Fudge OR Cookies (to take home)
Samosas (maybe)

Maybe weÂ’ll go on MotherÂ’s Day. :p
