:D I am on day 10 or 11 and I just wanted to tell you some good things that have been happening for me:

My fasting blood sugar this morning was 120 - wahooo, Normally when I wake up, I have higher sugars like beginning at 175 and up - but since being raw, they have been going down. I am still on my medications, but I can see over the rainbow and know that a change is a comin' soon.

My before blood sugar last night was 131 - now that is significant because I processed a fruit smoothie and my sugar was only went up to 131.

The next two things are remarkable within themselves - blood pressure reading yesterday was 119/61 - I have not had a reading like that in the past 25 -that's right 25 years and my ekg was considered "perfect" by the tech - so I got some bragging rights here.

In Alissa's book she discussed the one lady who had diabetes, and hypertension saw results immediatley and at that time, I really wasn't 100% raw, I was playing around with raw today, raw here and there, but I began the challenge with the intention of staying 100% raw and so far I have been true to that, and look what is happening! BAM -

I am especially going to stay the course now, as I am scheduled for surgery on Tuesday and I have been advised that my plan to juice as I recover will help my body heal. The surgery is unavoidable, so the next thing to do is just plan to heal -I know I will have more bragging right for you guys, and I am sure you won't mind :)

That's awesome, Sweet Lips! I'm so glad you posted this because my mom just found out she has diabetes, so I copied your post and emailed it to her. She was here over Christmas and I made her some raw lasagna. She wasn't too impressed, but when she went home, she dug out her juicer and started juicing and has been incorporating more and more raw foods into her diet. THis is just the type of motivatoin she needs.

What a blessing for you and for those who need this inspiration. Thanks for sharing and Congrats!!!

On your numbers. I know that is encouraging,Blessings to you on your upcoming surgery. We will be glad to hear from you when you report back in. The raw can do nothing but help. I am using the ph-sticks to measure my alkaline/acid and it is right on the money 7. That was from being raw for 9 days. Can I get your carmel corn recipe? :)

Peace and Blessings

RIGHT ON Sweet Lips!!!! See... God's way/food is best for the body HE created!!! I am so happy for you and your success in staying raw for 11 days! All those enzymes will be to your benefit after surgery! I'm constantly encouraging pt's I see at the hosp.(for wound care) to eat fresh produce to heal...and those that do heal sooo much faster! That would be a great statistical study!!! Yeah for RAW FOOD!!! :D
I'll be praying for you,
Michelle

I'm on day 25. So, let's go on this adventure hand in hand to the promised land. I'm a poet and I didn't even know it. I don't have much to brag about right now, unless it's just the fact that I'm giving up every temptation to eat cooked. Not a little bit, not an ounce, not a crumb. And I'm feeling my pain surge and flow throughout the day. Seemingly mostly mental pain, but I guess there's physical detox going on to. I can't see over the rainbow yet, but I do beleive that a "change is a comin'," probably not soon though. If I get some results in 6 months I'll be happy. I'm true to my intention of staying 100% raw and I'm happy about it. I plan to stay the course now, too. I plan to heal too. Good luck with your surgery Sweet lips. :D :) ;) :(

Thank you all so much for the encourgament and the wonderful comments of sharing - I really appreciate it. Rawist, I would be happy to join you on the journey to the promised land of heal and healing and we will not be in the desert for 40 years anyway although sometimes I have felt that I have been at this for 40 years.

Be blessed all - I am feeling really good right now, and I know it is from the love notes I have received. This board is so special!
