Ok, this is going to sound really strange and probably annoying but I need help!
I still have to get at least 600 more calories in today and I don't know what else to eat! We have dried fruit, but I've had a lot already as usual (to get the calories in). We don't have any bananas left...we have broccoli, baby carrots, tomatoes, romaine, some baby spinach, half a melon, raisins, dates, um I can't think right now...*racks brain* ah well does anyone have any ideas? So far today I've had approximately 19% fats, 72% carbohydrate, 9% protein...(I only keep track on fitday because I have to right now in order to gain weight and get healthy...oh and stay out of the hospital) I don't know what to do! I could just go stuff my face with dried fruit but I eat kind of a lot of it already. I have some almonds but they aren't soaked and I don't know if they are really raw. Ah I'm kind of freaked, I have no idea what else to eat without cooking up so beans or legumes or something! gr!

Also, by the way, could anyone also list like their ideal grocery list (nutrient wise)? no one has to I just think it would be interesting and helpful.
Thanks so much.

process the dates and almonds with some honey and make nutballs.

thanks gavinart, that sounds yummy :). Don't the almonds have to be soaked first? I already cooked up some beans :( (although I needed to get rid of them anyway) and ate them...now my stomach feels all icky, heavy, and keeps making angry noises. See, my problem is never craving cooked foods..i never really do...it's just sometimes I feel like i have to in order to get what I'm supposed to be getting (mostly calorie wise) since we don't always have many raw options in the house (I'm only fifteen...and I bet this is all I have to say...my mom, baby sister, and step dad had steak, potatoes, and baked beans for dinner tonight while I sat there with a HUGE salad with romaine, spinach, broccoli, cherry tomatoes, pumpkin seeds, and whatever else I could throw in...) I eat all raw except for the occasional cooked beans...and I'm not sure if our almonds are raw. I'm going to stop the whole cooked beans things though.

Lunar, what kind of kitchen appliances do you have? ;)

hi Misslinda, as of right now I just have a blender and a food processor (unless you want to count the microwave, toaster, and stove)...I'm working on getting a dehydrator although I can't see it happening any time soon...

Lunar, how bout adding healthy fats like avacados and olive oil--high in enzymes and a way to replace the nuts. Avacados have cellulase which help breakdown your greens too. Some here even put avacado in their smootheis I hear it taste great and creamy!

you can throw mixed veggies in the FP and add olive oil with some seasonings. Sometimes it's hard trying to eat all those veggies fresh etc.

I agree with the almonds and dates equal amounts, and make fudge balls, I'd just eat it straight, even if they aren't soaked, you can always soak for an hour or two, then eat them, they are great.
