Hello,

I am pretty new to raw food and have yet to get the hang of making dishes from no recipe given!
I recently went to a raw potluck where someone made some great coconut/cacao brownies.
The recipe was this and no other amounts or instructions:

Crust:
almonds, dates and coconut

Filling:
Flesh of 3 young coconuts, 6 bananas, 1/4 cup raw cacoa, coconut oil and vanilla.

Would anyone have an idea how to pull this all together and how to make it?
They tested so so good :)

Is there some rule on making raw food? Like more nuts to dates etc?

Thanks,
Merreck

I see a lot of raw recipes like this. The more I adjust to raw food the more comfortable I am with experimentation. You learn about the foods you use and what substitutions/quantities are workable. It really is more about how YOU want it to be. Thicker, smoother, sweeter, runnier, meatier, etc. If you blend something, taste it, and it's not the consistency/taste you like try adding something to counteract that.
The general rule is 1 cup dates/raisins to 1 cup nuts but the coconut meat should make it thicker so I'd say 1/3 cup of each, myself. The thing about raw is you can't really go wrong!
