I just bought some sprouting seeds and the hemp sprout bag from sproutspeople.com. I used the hemp sprout bag to make my almond milk and it worked perfectly! I assume the material (hemp) is safer than the nylon material of normal nut bags?

I find the nylon bags are nonabsorbant and much, much easier to clean, so I definitely prefer them for nut milk "filters." The hemp bags, on the other hand, work much better for sprouting seeds and beans because they are so absorbant. But if all you have is one kind it can work for both uses until you get the other kind.

sounds good

I've used jelly bags that are made of muslin as sprout bags, but I've never used them for nutmilks

but if it works, then GREAT!!!

always good to have options.
