What is everyone's view on not drinking water with food and not drinking it within a certain time frame before & afterwards? Obviously there has to be some conflict with this since water is used in a lot of the recipes. But overall, what does everyone normally do? I find I'm not drinking enough by following this method, especially because I'm eating often.

I start my day with water. I drink about 1/2 gallon by lunch. I do not drink water when I eat. It dilutes my digestive enzymes and my food won't digest appropriately. I've tried it both ways, and this what works for me. I recently switched up and started drinking 8 oz before a meal and 8 with a meal to fill me up more so I'd eat less. All I got was heartburn, bloating, and felt like I had a cinderblock in my stomach.
I usually begin drinking again by one hour after eating. I have had to learn to do this as we are all trained from birth to consume a beverage with each meal. It's a habit for me now.
It's what works for me.

not drinking while i was eating was one of the hardest things i overcame. i now leave at least half an hour before i eat and after..its usually much more.
i remember i found it hard to fit in drinking too ..since i now add 2 cups of water in my green smoothies i have found that a huge help..i drink in the afernoon and evening mostly.

I hydrate in between meals an hour before--so I do not have water with my meals. I have read some members here don't have digestive issues even while drinking water while they eat. Oh, if i do have a dehydrated treat, I consume water while eating it. :)
