When a recipe calls for an ear of corn shaved from the cobb, about how much corn does that yield? Since corn is not yet really in season, I bought organic frozen corn and want to substitute.
Blessings,

vtj,
1 cob yields about 1/2 cup -- whatever you're making, enjoy!! :)

From my experience 1 cob makes lots more that 1/2 cup. More like 1 cup (+). Maybe I use large ears, but I am always amazed how much corN comes off an ear.

I say 1 cup is common for one ear of corn, or at least in my opinion, when I have made frozen corn from the cob, I guess at 1 cup per ear, and it is very close. usually a bit more.
