I started raw once again yesterday. I ate about 5 tangerines, some grapefruit juice and some OJ. Later I had some soup and a handful of popcorn. Im going for at least 75-85% Raw.
I woke up in the middle of the night and I was dizzy while my eyes were shut. If I rolled over on one side I wasnt dizzy. The whole room was just twisting and turning. Do you think that this is just the body adjusting to all those fruits again?

Sounds like blood sugar issues to me. Maybe try eating some nuts with your fruit, or having greens or nuts earlier in the day. Also, if that's all you ate for the entire day, you might not have gotten enough food. I notice that I get dizziness and vertigo if I'm not eating enough or having too much high sugar foods. Good luck!

That's good to know, Olive. I've suffered from bouts of vertigo for a few years, never knowing quite what caused it, but not getting enough sleep seems to be one factor. However, just yesterday I felt it coming on and fought it off. I was short on sleep, but I had also been eating lots of fruit that morning. I'll keep an eye on the fruit/vertigo connection. I'd LOVE to find the cause for it!

i suffered from something similar years ago, and every once in a while it comes back. My chiropracter explained that it is the result of a nerve in your neck, and when your neck is stiff or pinched, you can experience vertigo. I can't say that is what is going on with you, but I do know it is common. What makes me think it is what I had, is because it always seemed to fade with me when I "turned" my neck to another position. When one lays back, the nerve is pushed. I remember swaths of time when I had to sleep sitting "up" with like three pillows. This went on untill I got an adjustment, and my anxiety faded. Seems like it was worse when I was under stress...

Just my thoughts.

Cassy.

Personally I have experienced a dizzy feeling when I eat fruits exclusively OR if I don't eat enough.
You may want to talk to a health care provider.... Good luck to you.
