Retreats?

Has anyone been to a fasting retreat/meditation center? I was wanting to go to one to fast (away from the stress of home, ect.) and my dad would ahve to come with me since he's afraid for me going alone haha. This is good though, he needs it! I've been looking online and have found a lot in CA and out of the country (Tanglewood in Panama). Do you know of any on the east coast? Specifically near VA by a few states?
