Do you have Alissa's book yet ? You will find several flax cracker recipes as well as a great corn chip recipe in there. If you don't have it you must order it ! It has so many recipes in it that will makig eating a raw food diet so much easier !

I'd order the book, except I'm super hard-up for money right now and it's either the book or food for a week for my family. :( *sniffles* But, money grows on trees!! All's well! :)
Still hoping to get some recipes so I can make use of my flax seeds.

I've noticed you don't say a lot, but what you do say is always valuable. :)

a SUPER easy way to make flax crackers:

equal amounts of flax seed to water

put flax seed in bowl
measure out water and put into your blender/vitamix. Add "spices" to the water such as ginger, garlic, a tomato, cucumber, sweet pepper, hot pepper, lemon juice .... whatever suits your fancy. I also throw in a quarter tsp of salt or so as well.

Blend the water mixture until everything is pureed, or in very small pieces.
Add the water 'mixture' to the flax seed in the bowl. Stir and let set for at least 4 hours or overnight.

When "gel'd", spread mixture onto teflex sheet with the back of a wooden spoon. Make this fairly thin. The flax seed goop holds it together.

Dehydrate until dry, then flip over, remove the teflex sheet, and finish dehydrating until crispy.

My fav combination is tomato, cuke, red pepper, garlic, salt, bit of lemon added to the water. for a "vege" cracker. However, just adding salt, lemon, garlic is good too. The recipe in Alissa's book is really good, too.
Experiment with different ingredients ...

And yes, corn chips.
Simply cut some corn off the cob. Put into your food processor. Add some chopped onion, whatever spice you want, and a dash of salt. Puree. Pour puree onto teflex dehydrator sheet and dry. When dry, flip over, and continue to dehydrate until crispy.

I add chili powder and/or cayenne pepper to mine. Gives them some zing ... cause these crackers can be a tad sweet.

I also "score" the crackers with the dull side of a knife blade when I put them in the dehydrator so they break apart in more even shapes when done.
