Hey! I am here to learn more about the Raw lifestyle.

I am LaTara, a 37 yr old wife, homeschooling mom, business owner, ministry president and co-founder,and I weigh over 300lbs. Nothing else I have tried works.

MY family is vegan/vegetarian but I still can't get the weight off. I have been struggling for a while but more so in the last 3 years.

Well that is a bit about me.

LaTara,

Hi, and welcome to the Living on Live Foods web site! This is the right place to come! At this site you will find many many helpful and supportive people.

My sister was over 300 pounds when she started raw and living foods. She has now lost over 60 pounds and has healed herself of many physical ailments including arthritis in her knees and severe back pain. I too have been overweight with health issues, my story is at www.rawteacher.com/samiwinners ... feel free to see if you can resonate with it. We both have six children, I have one more on the way!

If you haven't already done it, I would highly encourage you to purchase Alissa's Living on Live Foods book and read it. Alissa puts in very simple terms how to go raw, stay raw. She will outline what happens to your body on cooked food and how raw will change you from the inside out. I found this the most useful book to keep me raw.

Again, welcome! We invite you to continue to join us.

I want to also recommend Alissa's book. If you can't get to a class near you, I also think the DVD is a wonderful companion to the book. I think you should do well with losing some weight but more importantly you will gain health!

Raw Blessings,
Julie
