I just had an amazing deep dish raw pizza with a crust made of cashews and pine nuts. The filling was olives and peppers and it had sundried tomatoes. I'm trying to find an equivalent crust recipe or a similar recipe.
Thanks.

This "might" be something similar http://fromsadtoraw.com/Recipes/VeggiePizzaPie.htm...supposing you could substitute the walnuts and sunflower seeds for cashews and pine nuts. Also, unfortunately there are no exact measurements which I'm sure that's what you were hoping for.
You had the pizza from a raw restaraunt? Sounds good!

Thanks for the link.
Ugh. It was so good. I can't imagine ever eating real pizza again. The restaurant is really convenient so I suppose I could just keep buying it, but I really love trying out recipes. I'm amazed at how well they turn out.

Hi Jennimik,
I was reading your post thinking: "That sounds like Karyn's Deep Dish Pizza" and then I saw you are from Chicago, so it was indeed Karyn's Deep Dish Pizza!
I like that pizza, too! =)

Could you tell me what kind of olives you are using? I found some in the local grocery store (not in a jar but in big bowls where you help yourself). I tried several and i lovethe little small black shriveled one. It was in olive oil and had some red pepper flakes on it too....oh-my-goodness. I never liked olives before. Now, I'm afraid those olives aren't raw. I'm still crossing my fingers that they are.
Peace and Blessings,

I bought a couple different kinds from rawfood.com. I have the Peruvian and the Manzanilla olives. Maybe someone here can help you with the distinction between what are raw olives and what aren't. I know some are heat cured and the ones I bought are sun-dried. Hope this helps.

Harmony - Ask the grocery store employees. If it comes from a can - it is not raw. The raw olives are usually in tubs. --Tracy
