Hey Guys and Gals,
I just made some nut milk with hazel nuts. I usually make brazil nut milk but they were out at the store, so I subbed hazel nuts and wow it is really good......gives Brazil nut milk a run for its money.
Hazel Nut Milk
1 cup hazel nuts, soaked with soak water drained and discarded
3.5 cups filtered water, more if you like thinner milk and less if you like it creamier
1 to 2 tsp vanilla
2 dates
Pinch of Himalayan sea salt
1 to 2 tbsp honey or agave
Blend nuts, water and dates in blender
Strain through a nut milk or other fine mesh bag
Add vanilla, salt and honey
Blend again for a few seconds
Will last 3 to 4 days refrigerated in a covered glass jar.
This is yummy over a bowl of fruit like bananas and berries or raw granola.
Let me know if you try it and how you like it.
