Got this off of PETA's website. I really love tofutti (vegan cream cheese) and want to make special Easter treats, so if someone wants to modify this to make it raw-licious that would be great. I haven't tried any raw cream cheese recipes yet. Up for the challenge?

Chocolate Eggs Recipe

1 8-oz. package nondairy cream cheese, softened at room temperature
3 cups powdered sugar
12 oz. semi-sweet chocolate, melted
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Decorations, e.g., chopped nuts, unsweetened cocoa, toasted flaked coconut

Beat the nondairy cream cheese in a mixing bowl until it is smooth. Gradually add the powdered sugar, beating until it is well blended. Add the melted chocolate and vanilla and mix well. Refrigerate for about 1 hour. Shape the mixture into 1-inch balls or egg shapes and roll them in the nuts, cocoa, or coconut. Store the finished chocolates in the refrigerator.

Okay, I'll give it a whirl,

humm, well, just off the top of my head

1 8-oz. package nondairy cream cheese, softened at room temperature
3 cups powdered sugar
12 oz. semi-sweet chocolate, melted
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

how about my chocolate mousse recipe, which should work great.

just put it in a pie pan, lined with
1 cup walnut
1 cup dates,
blend in food processor until blended but still chunky, push into pie pan, and pour mousse recipe ontop,
either place in fridge to firm up or freeze for 2 hours, then cut.

if you freeze this too long, it will be too hard to cut well.

OOPS, I was thinking of a pie,

well, if you want good tasting egg shapes, I would use

1 cup walnuts (not soaked)
1 cup dates (not soaked but pitted)
blend in food processor until crumbly, but not smooth
and roll into egg shapes, roll in carob, cacao powder, coconut flakes, etc.

freeze or eat as is, yummy
