~Greetings Dear Friends ! ~

I want to share some delightful news with you all.

As you know, I have been meditating quite loyally since last Summer. Through my RAW journey, I have become very sensitive to my body's communication style and the language it speaks when speaking to me. My intuiton had increasingly become more vivid since then...........

As of this late afternoon, I finally progressed and heard the "audio" intuitive ability within in me while meditating during fasting mode. It was a combination of meditating while lying down, using specific crystals and concentrating on specific organs............

My hands were placed in the area of my kidneys as I focused on them. Next thing happens,,,,,,,,I [hear] the sound of ocean waves crashing.........it was very vivid in my ears..........my CD playing was instrumental piano so I didn't second guess it be that playing. When it happened, I didn't even question, I "knew" and proceeded onward..............

Five minutes later, I had an incredible releasing of fluids and the pain in my kidneys diminshed.

The experience was inwardly intimate and my hope is that you will embrace the language of your body thru raw.

the language or your body thru raw,
ml :)

misslinda,

I had the weirdest thing happen the other day. I had an audio situation too but it was not as mystical and wonderful as yours. It was just weird.

I was taking a nap. In the middle of a deep sleep, IN MY BRAIN, and not my ears, I heard what sounded something like someone hitting a tin watering can with a spoon ONCE! I woke up immediately and all of the sudden as I awoke, I felt a tingling sensation go througout my arms. It was not a loud bang, but like a little bang.

Is that weird or what.

Lifeagift: I believe everyone has that ability and when you encounter it, please do share :)

Rawpriestess: *smiles * I ought to view it as a miracle--never worded it that way :)

Karen: Everyone's experience is mystical and wonderful! I have to ask, what do you think yours meant?

Any encounter I remember from a while back, had to do with an attempt at pain management. I was using prayer, meditation and healing visualization to deal with joint and nerve pain. During one of "my sessions" I was "given" the imager of flashing light like a pulsing sunburst (blinking like 'puter cursers) along various vertebrae of my kneck and back.

It was something like c6, L 4, L6 etc...

There were five distinct points These same points returned to me in a dream and would pop up in my memory throughout the day, for several days. So one day I looked up the points on an anatomical chart I had from college A&P. The inervations of various nerves at theses points were directly linked to places of pain that I was having throught my body. I held this in my heart for a while, intended to follow up with an "MD/ or chiropractor" , but didn't. When visualizng on a regular basis I noticed that day to day pain was diminishing. WHOA!!!

It was awesome, and needed. Then one day I stupidly share my blessed experience ( in brief) with a doubter, el persona negativo. I internalized their doubt, made it my own and blew off my visual experience plus ability to self heal.

In hingsight I should have continually worked with the sunburst, yield to the message and mediated through the healing. I feel like I am being taught a lesson now regarding this particular healing because I yet to remeber all the correct cervical and lumbar points and/ or innervations. I had even written them down, can't find it. I no longer dimiss my iner voice/ intuition/ inner eye and I yield. Especially when it comes to my children. Immediaely when my little ones are feeling blah I apply touch, massage , water, nutrition etc... whatever I feel is called for and I visulaized their positive outcome. It's been awesome.

NOW TO JUST REWIND AND RERECORD MY MINDS SCRIPT, concerning weightloss and optimal fitness. On several occassions I've caught myself talking myself out of "weightloss" and even disregarding and negating genuine compliments from others on my vitality and appearance.

Hmmmm

I've got work to do!
Thank you MissLinda for yielding and sharing. :o

misslinda,

I had posted about that tin watering can bang in my head while I was sleeping. You asked what it meant. I don't really think it meant anything. Because I felt tingling in my arms immediately when it happened, I wonder if it was something physical that happened in my brain, like a chemical reaction or something. I just started taking suppliments and finetuning my food choices based upon some vitamins and minerals that have to do with brain function because I am trying to maximize my brain potential. I don't have a clue what it was but I felt that it was positive, because I popped right out of bed and felt really happy afterward. Maybe a constricted brain nerve came back to life or something.

It was just weird.

Karen that would be too cool if it was a constricted nerve that was prompted by that tin sound! Especially the fact you had the tingling in teh arm.

Wow Misslinda! Thats quite amazing really! I am not that far myself though I am improving.. I do "hear" things from time to time though, things which seems audible but I know is not. The most recent was a message from my guides I think one morning just when I woke up. It was as clear to me as someone had said it out loud in our domitory. They told me to learn the Rosen Method and travel around with it, healing and not asking charges but accepting donations. I guess they either got tired of my ponderings about what to do or took pity in me, for I have been thinking for a long time with my reason battling with my dreams..

Fly forever free,

:) Interestingly Lanasq, I dabbled with Feng Shei years ago and wasn't into reading about it but some of the "principles" I've naturally find myself doing. I typically walk into my room or a room and [feel] what needs to be moved and what angle. I reaarrange things quite often--probably even more now than ever :D Same with colors. How 'bout you? Hope you don't mind, but I took the little quiz. Came out a "pitta"! Yes, and that is the lesson I am working on.....LOL!!

hi Pansy,
mine was a "pitta" as well :D
Some where on that site is a chakara test that I took about 3 monthes ago, though for some reason right now I can't seem to find it.

On the pitta thing I did this just yesterday for about 3 hours:

Leave one- to two-hour openings in your schedule every few days, and plan nothing for those times. Pittas’ innate desire to control and organize themselves and the situations around them can be extreme. Leaving one’s schedule open may not be comfortable to a pitta person, but discomfort is usually a good indication of imbalance.

It also says to do this:
Set aside at least 5 minutes per day, either at the very beginning or the very end, to establish a meditation practice. The best meditations for pitta involve the sense of sight, so try meditations that require sitting and contemplating a candle, or listen to a guided-visualization tape.

This for me is hard, I find it tough at times to do this without being bothered.

But this part is totally me :D :

Choose challenging but non-competitive forms of exercise. Non-team sports such as snow skiing, running, kayaking, and cycling, among others, will keep you in good shape while balancing pitta’s competitive nature.

I'm a very sound sleeper and hard to wake up generaly - unless I sense an intruder on or around my property - then watch out!
So some of those things were correct and some were not. What about you?

Pansy

LOL, I only have about five more pictures of that guy before I run out of funny avatars! I'll have to make up my own!

I used to really be into new age-y stuff. Crystals, incense, sitting in the full lotus, 'Om!', visualisations. Even then my mind would wander a bit. I'm more spiritual now, but the second I sit down to meditate- I recognise it relaxes me- but it's like I feel that I don't have time! Even for a few minutes! I get all jittery. Also my neck and shoulders hurt when I keep my back straight.

Why don't we swap minds? One mind, several previous owners, slightly warped for straight exchange!

misslinda
04-19-2006, 10:04 AM

Hmm... I don't have any permanent injuries that I'm aware of BUT about fifteen years ago I was on the playing field at school in summer and I was showing off and done a standing backflip to land on my feet first * I am not a gymnast! * and I hit the rock-solid dirt field right on my lower back. If it hadn't have felt like I'd just been shot I'd have thought I was paralysed. I was seriously hurt but got up and starting walking around (like a drunk slug, but was walking nonetheless!) and was putting on my tough face.

I get a lot of aches probably cause of my job too (self-employed computer programmer).

Maybe I should give it all up and become a banana.... no, I'm too yellow-bellied for that. Boom boom! Sorry, in a silly mood!

hey you guys after you take the chakra test take the Enneagram test too. The first test asks a lot of questions most of them just repeat the question from different points of view. I came out as a type 1. Though not everything is completely correct but hey maybe that just the perfectionist in me? :D

Pansy
04-21-2006, 06:48 AM
Hey Path,

Your right about alot of questions on the enneagram test! I am a Point 6: The questioner, skeptic, or devil's advocate. Which does sum me up pretty close! Have some things to work on now...way to go, Path........(just kidding....LOL!).

On the chakra test, I was open on all chakra's...pretty cool!

How was your chakra test?

Keep me posted on other cool and fun test!

PATH301

Hey Pansy,
my Chakra was:
root = under-active -6%
sacral = open - 56%
navel = open 56%
heart = open 63%
throat = over active 81%
third eye = over active 75%
crown open = 56%

So this was interesting, I'm still figuring this out in regards to the answers and how to open your chakra's.

On the enneagram:

type 1 - 10.3 - the Reformer - perfectionist, responsible,fixiated on improvement.
type 3 - 8.7 - The Achiever - focused on the presentation of success,, to attain validation.
type 2 - 8.3 - The helper - Helper's who need to be needed.
type 9 - 7.3 - the peacemaker - Keeping peace and harmony.
type 6 - 7.3 - The Loyalist - conflict between trust and distrust.
type 8 - 6.3 - the challenger - Taking charge , because they don't want to be controlled.
type 7 - 6. - The enthusiast - pleasure seekers and planners, in search of distraction.

This is what I wrote down for those definition. I did not get the ones below yet. I'll have to get hem later tonight ;)

wing 1w2 - 14.5
wing 1w9 - 14
wing 2w1 - 13.5
wing 3w2 - 12.8
wing 2w3 - 12.7
wing 9w1 - 12.4 /wing 3w4 - 11 / wing 9w8 - 10.4 / wing 6w7 - 10.3 / wing 8w9 - 9.9 /wing 7 w 6 - 9.7 /wing 8w7 - 9.3 / wing 7w8 - 9.2 / wing 6w5 - 8.4 / Now this looks to me that there's a lot of flying going on here with all these wings.........LOL, have not figured them all out yet

Tell me whatcha you got?

Pansy
04-21-2006, 08:08 AM
Hi Path,

For the enneagram my results were:

Point 6
other types to consider:
wings Type 5 & 7
stress Type 3
security Type 9
look-alike Type 4

This is all I had! Very Interesting, indeed!

For the chakra:
Root Open (19%)
Sacral Open (19%)
Navel Open (50%)
heart Open (38%)
Throat Open (44%)
Third Eye Open (56%)
Crown Open (44%)

Going to have to tie a big boulder around you to keep you grounded...LOL!

Did you see where it said "techniques to open chakra's? I guess you will have to start meditating and sitting still....LOL!!! I do meditate each day, even if it's going in and listening to some relaxing music.

I'm still reading through on mine also!

Keep posting!

Pansy
04-21-2006, 08:28 AM
Hey Path,

Here are some things I have been working on!

Just some suggestions, if you like to share ideas!

For the root chakra....I do a grounding technique (may already be mentioned on their site with the chakra test). I sit down and see/feel tree roots coming from my root chakra (or your butt...sorry for the french....He he!) going down into the earth and I see/feel tree roots going up from my crown chakra (the top of your head) up into the sky and I stay there for just a couple of moments and ask spirit to ground me! Trust people alittle at a time and open up and know that you are safe and feel safe. Listen, instead of speaking!

For the third eye chakra....always focus your attention on the "now" moment and live there...not in the past or future..always the present moment.

For the throat....meditate and relax within self.

I am still working on all of these things myself and not always easy!
Now, I really have to look at this enneagram....have to read some more about this....I have heard of this before, but that's it! Time for some schooling...LOL!

The chakra's I have worked alot with through Reiki.

Blessings and Light,

Pansy ;)

I tend to lean more toward this one of the three - sometimes I’ll use vision and audio and I can sense a type of presence when I’m around certain type of people/ entities. Then at other times I seem to be clogged and unable to discern anything at all?

Nice selection of articles, Path -- a few deal with learning styles rather than intuition. Interesting since I taught learning styles/multiple intelligence stuff. I especially like the review/interview with Dr. Judith Orloff about her book on intuitive empaths.

Some times the most simplist approaches give more clues than those of complexity. Thus what i was trying to say to misslinda and you, (RawTruth), and whomever - is that everybody learns and uses their intuition differently. Of course I personally speak for myself here I may learn using the V.A. AND K'S, But I also use them as well when it comes to spiritual realms as well.

I found another link that describes a little more to your liking," so to speaK"
it's a very interesting article. I don't totally agree with everything here, but it is more to the intuition thread statement/ point of view:

http://www.angelfire.com/hi/TheSeer/intuition.html

here's a little test you can take on the subject for fun:

The 2-Variable Intuition Test

tell me what you think? :D

Path GROOVY! Liked that first link........

Intuition is what you use to find the purpose of your life and your place in the world. Once you awaken your inner guide by unlocking the wisdom of your subconscious mind, you already know what to do.

oki doki now I'm gonna take the test :D

have you ever seen that movie with mel gibson and that little blonde hair girl that plays in all the alien movie's? I can't remeber her real name? Any way the movie was called something like "strangers among us"

basically one of the concepts for me was that everything that happens to us is for a purpose~~ either I created it consciously or subconiuously or I did nothing at all and some higher or different power did it for me for a purpose. Today i read my scope:
The last 2 weeks I've had no response from one of my friends and I've been kinda worried and frustrated at the same time - then I found out that my friend has been on leave so to speak, = then the scope says that not to frustrated your friend is having some problems right noe and you need to be patient and relax. Some times these scopes don't relate to me at all - but this time it's right on - who's controling that? Which god or higher power? - or is it my spirit? ~~interesting questions?

Ok guys. My interest has been peaked, but it seems I can't quite follow what you are all talking about on here. :D I'm SUPER NEW to meditating. So... On that note...

Miss Linda.. and any one else that cares to share...

Do you have any starter websites/books/DVD's that you would suggest to a newbie in the meditation world, so I can later follow what you are all talking about! :p

Thanks so much!!!

Hey Finding Me,

My personal experience with intuition has been with the use of specific crystals to aid in development. Fort he most part, training myself to become more aware and listen to the silence and inner voice is what accelerated that knowing we all have. I would suggest using rough cut citrine or clear quartz.

Can I ask what if any experience you have with meditation or are you familiar with chakras, energy fields etc?

:)

Finding Me

Hi Miss Linda. Thanks for answering. :)

I have very little experience with any of it. I watched the movie "The Secret" which led me on a search for the Law of Attraction. From that I discovered the Abraham-Hicks site and have read one book. "Ask and it is Given". One of the processes is Meditation. So, I have meditated a couple times, but am super new to the whole thing.

I've been searching on the internet on different subjects such as meditation, the law of attraction, and more. It seems like everything kind of intertwines with eachother. Searching on intuition led me to channeling and other psychic "stuff" (not good at technical terms) which seems to bring me back to Abraham-Hicks. :) It gets a little confusing and overwhelming.
I have heard of chackras, but am not very educated on that either. Energy fields... um? very very little. And the whole crystal thing you are talking about is new to me.

So, from you other conversations with others, I was curious where you think someone like me might find a "better" read on meditation and such. (for us starters and all) :)

My name "Finding Me" was actually created because I am in search of I guess what you call enlightenment?? and new things like this. I absolutely loved "What the Bleep"... and "The Secret". I've watched them both many times. (I even put love on all my water bottles ;) )

Hi there Findingme!

Here is a link that covers the basics of chakras. You dont' have to learn about chakras to develop your intuitio more but I have found that by getting your various levels of energies balanced, the "connection" enhances the ability to " know " and feel everything around you.

http://www.sacredcenters.com/chakras.html

As far as books, there is one that I really adore that I will go back to the bookstore and write down the titles......actually there is 2 of them. Jon Kabat-Zinn is one of the Hallmark authors/teachers of mindfulness meditation. His book is called "Everywhere you go there you are" and my favorite "Coming to our senses"

The crystals I chose by reviewing the gemstone book at the crystal shop. There are so many different ones and I would encourage you to first look at the stones without a reference guide and observe how you feel when you see the stones.........it's like food. See if the color, feel and body response is positive.

How do you usually meditate?

;)

Finding Me --

I'm not Miss Linda, but, if I might jump in here ... I suggest finding someplace in Atlanta to learn to meditate. In real life. The experience of meditating with others is priceless. Or, if you absolutely must, try a DVD or video.

If you're interested in channeling, I strongly suggest checking out Lazaris. Alissa introduced me to him, and I think he's amazing. Here's a link:

http://www.lazaris.com/intro.cfm

But -- back to meditating, you're lucky to have a Self-Realization Fellowship Temple in Atlanta. There are several here in Southern California since Paramahansa Yogananda lived here for a while. They teach meditation there ... and they're always beautiful and peaceful to be in, and the people are lovely (and usually vegetarian!! Not raw, but still ... !). Here's a link to yours:

http://www.yogananda-srf.org/temples/atlanta/index.html

Have a delightful time on your search. And -- I think The Secret is fantastic. If you just use that, you will change your life.

I truly feel Raw foods has made me want to be closer to the universe and learn all that I can. Because of Raw foods, I feel a higher vibration and so uplifted!!

MissLinda,

Thanks for the Chakras website. I will definitely check it out. And I'll check out the books you suggested next time I make it to the bookstore. Thanks for the suggestion about the crystals. I think thats a great idea about finding one by how I feel towards it. I would have never thought of that. Thanks for all your input!! As far as my meditating (which again, I'll mention I've only tried a few times) I sit on the floor, legs crossed indian style, hands on knees. I breath deep breaths in through my nose, out (with some some sound) through my mouth. I try to release any thoughts, and mostly just concentrate on my breathing. I usually set a timer for 15 to 30 minutes depending on what I have going on that day. Thanks again for your help!! :)

RawTruth,

Oh Thank you so much for chiming in!! Any suggestions from those experienced is greatly appreciated by me and I'm sure many of the board members. For some of us "starters", this is very helpful for us to get these suggestions from you "experienced ones". ;) I'm sure many others will find this thread helpful, and I'm glad I have asked about all of this. Thank you for the channeling site! I will definitely check it out! And I'm so excited to hear about the Self-Realization Fellowship Temple in Atlanta. I would have never known to actually search for this. I'm used to reading about everything, so to actually go and participate would be excellent!! Thanks for the link!!

Added later: I just checked out the temple... and guess what... It's only 4 miles from my house! I had no idea! Thanks again Rawtruth!!! : :D :) :D
