Hi all you beautiful raw people,

I am on my 6th day raw. I am wanting to make one of my favorite recipes but raw. Can any one help? Below is the cooked version:
This is my Grandma's cabbage salad--so yummy:)

1 med. cabbage head shredded, 1 small onion chopped, 1 diced green pepper, 6 olives sliced, 1/2 cup white sugar. Mix all ingredients together. Then prepare dressing: 1 cup white sugar, 1 c vinegar, 1 tsp salt, 1/8 tsp pepper, 1 tsp mustard, 1/2 c. oil, 1/2 tsp celery seed. Put all dressing ingredients in a sauce pan and boil 3 minutes. pour over cabbage mixture and let stand in refrigerator for 24 hours for flavors to blend.

It seems like I could make this raw but I am not sure what to use in place of the sugar.

Thanks in advance for any responses.

Kim

Soaked dates, raw honey, agave...
Ther`s a lot of things you can use instead of sugar.

I have raw agave and raw honey. Do I still use the same amount?

I don't think so.

Try adding a tablespoon or two at first and see how it does.

Raw recipes are never really exact. It's more by taste. :)

Thank you for the info. I just got done cutting up all the ingredients. I'm gonna do that, start with just a couple of tablespoons. :)

Thanks for the recipe. I will try it. I did mix up my grandma's with agave nectar. I just poured some in. So far it is yummy! I am really pleased. I will try yours also.

I'm lovin eating this way. I just open my refrigerator and it smells so good. I totally cleaned it out of cooked food and it is full of strawberries. (the source of the great smell)
