Ive had a couple of goes at sprouting quinoa.
I bought the organic granovita brand.
I have no problems sprouting other grains and seeds, but the quinoa, although rinsed regularly gets slimy and smells foul and does not appear to sprout.
any advice?

Not enough information. How long are you soaking for? It doesn't take but about 4 hours of soaking, then rinse thoroughly, drain and let it go. One of the easiest and fastest to sprout.

I soaked it, rinsed it and let it go but it didn't sprout!

I think i will get some fresh grains.
I do have some red quinoa, I will try that today! :)

It ir the fastest thing to sprout and you can use it the day after starting. Maybe you are expecting something else to happen and are waiting too long. Do you get any tail on it.

Possibly old or not organic. Old stuff does not sprout sometimes. Ask me how I know.

Hi
it was new organic stock, but no tails appeared.
I have never had problems with other sprouts so I guess its just one of those things!

I have just started to soak the red quinoa, see how that goes. :)

I checked the red quinoa this morning
I am the proud sprouter of lots of little tiny sprouted tails!

The other ones i used must have been hanging around.

Thanks for all your help and ideas.
I love stories with happy endings! :)
