What I mean by pure is no salt, oil, vinegar, spices ect... Basically just pure fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds and lots of fresh juices. If so what is your typical menu for one day.
Thanks :o

I think my diet is pretty pure. Here's what I had today:
Breakfast: smoothie of almond milk, banana, carob and a little honey (all raw)
Lunch: raw broccoli soup (only a little salt, pepper, and cumin), carrots, 1/2 avocado, fresh salsa
snack: raisins and a dehydrated raw bar (Lara bar) which was made of dates, almonds, chocolate and walnuts
Dinner: carrots dipped in almond butter and a handful of raw nuts
only the soup had seasoning.

Not yet -I am a product of spicy food and have not worked with natural foods yet to accomplish it. I have eliminated all comerical condiments though - like mustard, hot sauce, mayo (gave that up a long time ago -tasted like mucous to me)- although I did give some to my family the other day with their food.
Good question and something to strive for.

The only thing that i use is salt. Instead of vinegar, i use lemons and instead of oils, i use avocados. I love fresh in-shell nuts sprout salads, water, tropical fruits and vegetables. I would be perfectly fine with the Genefit nutrition pure diet excluding raw meat(for ethical and personal reasons. That is the hardcore raw/whole food diet, beside water and juice fasting. That is my offer to everyone.
peace.

for about 8 months i ate only fresh raw fruits and vegies... no speices...no oils... no nothing... not even nuts!!!
my only non raw thing in that time was brown rice which i had every night with avocado!
then i totally slipped... started getting huge cravings and totally fell off the wagon...
but ... somehow i got back on track ( well i know how .. thru my protien shake but i dont wish to discuss that here because its not raw not even vegan! ) and now im back to basically 100% raw every single day... no cravings.. nothing!
i cut out my brown rice... which i replaced with mashed bananas and butter lettuce for dinner :)... in the mornings i usually have something juicy first like grapefruit .. or pomelos..YUM!... or oranges...papaya sometimes... and before i head to the gym i make a huge smoothie.. sometimes with some flax in it!
i occasionally use cinnamon.. with apples or mashed bananas...and recently started using some celtic salt here and there... like tonite i had it with chopped chinese cabbage.. and some pepper to taste... wasnt rich.. wasnt creaming.. just the cabbage with some salt and pepper :P
other then that.. my diet is pretty pure... but i do include raw nuts now.. and i also love those lara bars :D
im THINKING about adding some type of oil into my diet tho but i havent decided which one... because i dont think i have enough lubraction to get good digestion... cuz ever since cutting out my brown rice... my digestion is totally backed up... :(

Today I had:
fresh squeezed OJ
smoothie (bananas, strawberries, apple juice)
salad (greenleaf, spinach, apple, & almonds)
raw crackers (these do have celtic sea salt in them)
I use very little seasoning. Celtic sea salt (I'm going to try to make celery salt and see how that works in place of the sea salt). And last week, I did try some cumin in a recipe. I probable won't make this too often. I really prefer fresh whole fruits and veggies.

I use sea salt, garlic and onion only occasionally. I don't use vinegars or oils. The sea salt and onion are only for crackers/'burgers' that I make maybe once or twice a month. I'll have garlic in a weekend salad at about the same frequency.
My typical day consists of fruit or fruit smoothie in the morning, a few nuts or an avocado later on, then I might nibble on some more fruit, then a huge salad for dinner (with lemon or orange as a dressing if I don't want it plain).

I consider what I eat pretty pure. I eat sea salt only, and don't eat nuts unless it's a special treat I've made. I mostly eat:
smoothies (bananas mixed w/strawberries)
fresh fruit
salads w/avacado dressing made from just mashed avacado's, lemon juice, and salt

Well after reading the post, I guess I am pure, except for the dehydrated things I eat. I haven't created a hot sauce yet that mocks the commerical one, but I really haven't missed it either.
Like today - smoothie with fresh coconut milk and meat, oranges and a banana, spinach, dehydrated apple spice bread, banans, raw almond butter, and raw honey, and raw chili - again cept for the dehydrated stuff, I'm good.

The purist, simplest approach to eating that I can figure. That takes my mind off the food and saves time so I'm available for other things. No condiments, salt, oil, vinegar, spices, etc., can't make a meal out of them so why bother with them? They don't really enhance the flavor of food anyway. I'd rather taste the item as it's meant to taste. Just fresh, whole raw fruits, vegetables and raw nuts, as they're easily available in the food store. All I need is a knife and a plate for processing. I don't juice. ;) :D

Right now I can't imagine my diet without herbs and spices--I love the depth of flavor and variety they provide. I've never been much of a salt lover and tend to use it in really small amounts. One thing I would like to cut out though is vinegar. Contrary to what it says on the bottle, I don't think vinegar is healthy. If I have too much it feels like my insides are being corroded (which is probably, scarily true!).
